***Monsoon Monday Roll Call***
Ok, so not to bad of a play with letters for 1am, no? Heard there is a flood warning in the area due to heavy storms which could quickly drop 1-3 inches in a short amount of time. There should be some thunderstorms, too, which is AWESOME cause I love them. Assuming the damn thunder doesn't wake me up, that is.
I've been sitting in our "express care" area since 9...and have taken care of literally 4 patients since that time. All last week I complained about how we were busy busy busy and I couldn't catch my breath. So I dare not say that I was "b---d" tonight. I'll just be thankful for the easy shift!
On the way home I get to have labs pulled. can you hear the excitement? This is for my thyroid - hopefully levels are within normal and then I can stay on the same dose of meds for the next six months and not worry about getting a new script etc etc. The only problem is that in the winter time my veins are just as hard to find as they were when I was heavy. So...I'll have the heat cranking in the car and will wear my gloves etc and try to keep arms and hands super warm so maybe my veins will poke their little heads out to prevent multiple sticks. I don't have high hopes, though :)
Once home I'm gonna watch some tv and probably be in bed around 10 or 11. I can stay up a little later than usual today (assuming I'm not super tired) because I am technically off tonight from work. But like last week, I'm staying on my night schedule. I'll probably get up around 5 or 6 and then cook us dinner (well, me breakfast) which works out well cause I had planned on making a "breakfast for dinner" tonight, so it'll be nice :)
After that I have some stuff I want to get done...namely the bathroom and detail work like that which hasn't been done.
Once hubby goes to bed it'll be my time to just veg and play some wii. Oh, and I'll undoubtedly be in the kitchen doing something at some point because I can't seem to stay out of there, LOL

Well, let's see. Yesterday, I find out my disability checks have now stopped which was expected since it is only Worker's Comp. So now I have no income. I am trying to get OVR to help pay for me to go back to school. My counseler is always trying to discourage me and tell me which training I should have. Why? dunno. I have to take what I think I could do and am interested in.
We are down to one car so i have to get any errands runned early today in case hubby needs the car for any contract work that comes in. In the meantime, I have been applying for jobs in CareerLink and around town (Sheetz, McDonald's, Jubilee, Rite Aid, etc). I was thinking about maybe taking some resumes up to Olean, NY and checking for jobs there but not today.

Hope you have a good day today. So glad you got your blood work done relatively painlessly. I totally understand about being a hard stick. Even now for me it's like getting blood out of a stone. I dread every single time I have to "donate".
For me today it's the same old routine. Have already got lunch together for Robb, and my lunch bag together and here in a few minutes I will be getting Robb up and ready for work and getting myself together. Then taking him to work and my 2+ miles of walking at the mall. After that it's PT for my shoulder and plans with my best friend.
Picking Robb up at 4 then home for dinner of cabbage rolls from the crock pot. That's it for me...
Sounds like it's going to be pretty nasty with the rain and wind so if you have to be out today please be careful.

I've been up working since about 5:15. I'm not feeling too well, but I'm not sure what's wrong. I'm a little cold and I have a bit of a weird feeling in my belly. So, I have on a fleece jacket and I'm drinking mint tea. I am not sure what it is, but hopefully it will pass soon. It may just be the weekend catching up to me. I didn't get home til after 3 Saturday night.. stopped at the club and they were having karaoke!!
Anyway, work til 3:30 and then dinner and if I feel better I will go to spin class. Otherwise, I'll just stay home and relax tonight.
Not to be the pessimist - but the stomach bug that is going around is NOT a fun one. For adults it seems to "only" last about 24-48 hours...younger kids seems to stick around for quite some time (think like 4-6 days for some!) Hopefully it's just the weekend warrior catching up with you!
