Did anyone see this post on from the Main Board?

http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/amos/4107443/DO-YOU-WANT-Y OUR-OH-MEMBERSHIP-AND-POSTS-SENT-TO-ALL-YOUR/

Basically something about OH linking your posts to Facebook.  I know there are several people on the PA board that have Facebook accounts, but don't want their WLS info. on Facebook.

Let me know what you think.  Maybe this OP is off track.  So far, there is no response from OH moderators.

I didn't see the post on the main board, but I see there are now buttons for facebook and twitter at the bottom of the page where the reply button is.  How easy it would be to hit the wrong button by accident!  I generally don't discuss my wls on fb and don't want them connected.

Julia, can you explain what button (reply) you are talking about?  Thanks.

Debbie, at the bottom left of the screen there is a button for 'post reply'. To the right of that button, it now says 'share' and has buttons for fb and twitter. I don't really know anything else about it.

Thanks, Julia....I see what you're talking about now.

Julia - I actually deactivated my Facebook awhile ago.  Partly because I believe that something I downloaded gave me a virus and partly because I wasn't comfortable with people finding me that I wasn't interested in reconnecting with.

Lisa, you could have set your FB settings to private and no one could see unless they friended you.  Just a thought in case you wanted to reactivate.  I love seeing my cousins and their children and old friends.  It's a wonderful way to stay connected when you otherwise have lost touch with people.

I'm really not too concerned about this.  I'll admit it's a little odd that OH would think that people would want to link their posts to Facebook or Twitter, however, I don't think it's an invasion of privacy.  This site is already indexed by Google, so anything you write on here is searchable and can be found by anyone using Google.  So privacy on OH went out the window a long time ago, unfortunately.

Just my $0.02.
