So today I started grocery shopping for staples I will need when I start(meat sale) on my 2 week atkins diet, starting Feb1st. I also pick up some stuff for after surgery if it was a good deal. I am going to drive myself crazy waiting lol..ok off to workout, have a nice day everyone!

Lynn,

It's great that you're so excited!  Just don't do TOO much stocking up, because your tastes will change after surgery and you don't want to be stuck with something you really end up disliking.

Have fun and don't drive yourself TOO crazy!

Lynn, also be aware that a LITTLE food goes a LONG way post op!

I still laugh when I see my case of chicken broth in the pantry. Thought I was doing great to pick it up at Costco ahead of time....only to find that I couldn't stand chicken broth post op, and that 16 oz. of anything lasted a long, long time!

Have fun!  Sounds like you are doing a phenomenal job of being prepared - but Karen is right - try not to buy TO much stuff.  Things for the Atkins before surgery is a good idea - but anything post op - seriously resist the urge to buy a lot of.  It might be a "good deal" now....but if you don't like it post op - it's still a waste of money!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
