I thought I would share with everyone what has been going with me last week I saw Dr.Sawyna for my monthly check up I lost 4lbs since I saw him last month for total of 54 lbs lost so far so I did not need fill he's pleased with me. I told him about my depression and anxity issues he told me to speak with Dr,Lee he was the one who did my psy eval, Dr.S also told me that this is normal after WLS TO GET depression not to worry I'm not alone and it's treatable. I'm currently taking Lexpro for the depression and anxity. I always had anxity from little on up but never dperession. I  called Dr.Lee's office today I go see him next Tuesday at 930.

The lexpro is helping great deal now I'm starting to go to bed about an hour or two after I get home from work. I'm starting to wake up earlyer each day I was sleeping till noon now I'm starting to get awake at 11ish so that is an improvement I'm starting to take an interesting in things again I know I still need to speak with someone to fully deal with what is going on.

I will also be looking for new job as well I know that it's time to get out of the nursing home and find somethng else to do I would not mind trying to work in hospital I want to go back to school for my RN OR LPN

I told dr.S how I'm breaking down under my breasts and under my belly he said he has to doccument that and gave me rx for some power to put under there as well it's starting to help too. Now only to start going back to the gym I know I must take this all in steps day by day.

Glad you are feeling better, keep up the good work. I truly believe the meds gives us the gusto to go and talk to a Psychiatrist, but its them that fix the problem not the meds!   Good Luck keep the positive attitude and you will be fine!

Thank you very much yes the meds are helping me right now I know that they are just tool just like my band is tool. I know that I have to talk with someone to help get to the bottom of everything. I have noticed that the meds are also helping with my anxity so that is good.

Nicki,
A lot of us deal with some sort of anxiety or depression.
I'm happy that you're feeling somewhat better... but you must keep talking to a Dr. or therapist to really understand your feelings and work through them.
It's a great idea to push forward and go to school. I am a nurse and I love it!
We're here for you.., Susie
