Snacks for airline travel? (early post op)
Hi Everyone! I'm going to the well of wisdom here :-)
I will be a little over 6 weeks post op and need to travel to Kansas City and then the following week SoCal.
the KC trip doesn't bother me much - I can work around a few 2 hour flghits, but, I'm on non-stop PHL-LAX flights for the second trip and I'm looking for ideas for airline/security friendly food for the 6.5 hr flights.
I'll just be hitting the "full food" stage and I have my 6 week checkup the week before I leave so I'm confident I can work around whats needed.
I have a few ideas so far:
- String Cheese (it's been a staple lately) - I'll freeze a few sticks and let it thaw in my carryon.
- protein powder mix - single servings - to mix in the over priced and oversized water bottles from the terminal.
- soy crisps
- protein bars? I've just started to taset a couple - too soon yet to really utilize them with the program I'm on.
- and lots more water
Anything I'm missing?
thanks!
Mark G.
