I have gone back to clear liquids cause that is what the book says but in about 4 hrs I maybe have drinken 2 oz of 1/2 water-1/2 apple juice.. any suggestions....

Grape Juice, if its the REAL purple stuff, is one of the highest in natural sugars so that might have been the problem that made you barf.   Try white grape and 1/2 it with water or try the Ocean Spray DIET products, they have cran/grape.  Here's the nutritional info:  http://www.calories-nutrition.buddyslim.com/ocean-spray-diet -cranberry-grape-juice/

I had trouble with the "transitions" of food stages and was always nauseous for a few days until my pouch got used to the new density of foods. I agree with Jackie that it is probably the sugar in the grape juice (Even though it is natural) that got you and not the other items. Also if you are still on full liquids, you really shouldn't be swallowing pills - crush them and take them with a little applesauce, pudding or yogurt. This will also help you to absorb them better. As for getting in your fluids - this is Nurse Pam's favorite trick. Get a medicine up, drink 1 medicine cup full of liquid every 10 minutes (I think that is her time frame) all day long. By the end of the day you will get in all of your fluids. What I did was just keep sipping. Every few minutes you need to take a sip.

Good luck and hope that you are feeling better

You have to be careful about your pills.  Yes getting them in liquid or chewable form is best.  Before you crush any pill make sure it's safe to do so.  Some can not be crushed and you just have to swallow them and hope they wont upset your stomach.

I am sorry you have had a bad day - I can't relate to this one in particular - but we all have had bad days!  I think your posting about it is a GREAT way to get through it!  Each day will get a little easier and you will look back at this day as what it is, just one small bump in a typically smooth ride!  Keep working, and keep talking, you will get through this!  Good for you! :)

Yes, you want to watch the juices. They are very concentrated sources of sugar.

Stick with apple juice, diluted 50% with water, if you must have juice.

I have avoided it entirely, just because of the red flags that my nutritionist put up about the sugar content.

You are still very early out and there is a lot of healing going on for the next several weeks. Just try to do a bit better each day on the protein. Your focus right now is hydration - go with crystal light, SF popsicles, herbal tea (I loved mint or ginger herbals), and just sip sip sip!

Sorry to hear that you had a rough day. Hang in there it gets better the further out you get. It takes time for the healing your body needs right now. Everyone else has given you great advice. Feel better (((hugs)))
