Well my year was on Dec 22nd and it came and went with not so much of a thought.  I had my year check up and I have officially lost 115 pounds.  I started at 272 and on 4 different meds for my diabetes.  I am now at 159 and on nothing!  The doctor actually told me that he would like for me to only lose 10 more pounds.  I am having a hard time getting that into my head.  I do not think I have ever been told that I only need to lose 10 more pounds.  I guess it just seems crazy to me that I have made it to this point of my journey in only a year.  I am so happy that I made this decision.  I am using my tool and my health and my household is better for it.  My husband has lost 119 pounds and is only 30 pounds from his goal.  This adventure is far from over of us, but we now have the tools and knowledge and power to keep this adventure going in the right direction.  I would like to thank everyone here for all the support and suggestions that have been given to me over this year.  One day I would love to make a cooking class.  Now I want to save up for plastics, because I am not liking all the excess skin.  I talked to my doctor about it today and how uncomfortable it has become at night.  It bunches up and hurts.  He said they would document it and that may help with insurance.  I truly feel though, plastics or no plastics, 10 pounds or no 10 pounds, I am happy with my success and my tool.

cool beans.  I'm having my plastics in Mexico on 2/2.  If you get to the point you want to know about it, let me know.

My husband has gained 20 lbs in the process of me losing 100 . . . he finishes everything I can't eat!!!!  He's probably only about that 30 overweight but we've become accustomed to this routine.  I take more than I can eat and he finishes . . .   yikes.

Lisa,

Let us know how your plastics go!  I may be bugging you for info somewhere down the line.  Paul and I were just talking this week about me having plastics someday, and he mentioned going to Mexico.

My husband had his surgery the same day as me, right before me.  He had more to lose than I did, and I think he was a little upset over his weight today. Through our journey he has been able to eat more than I can, and he does not dump.  He said today that he wants to try to jump start his losing again. Thanks for the offer, please let me know how it turns out, since more than likely I will be self paying.
