Opinions on "abington memorial hospital" and "Fernando B. Bonanni, Jr.,...

Does anyone know of "Abington memorial hospital" and/or "Fernando B. Bonanni, Jr., M.D"

I want either a VSG or a DS, and it seems this place/surgeon are the only ones who will accept Medicaid.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

He has a good reputation. I personally have met about 15 of his patients, none have regrets, all have been successful.  You will more than likely get more responses on the DS Board.

That's quite a hike from Wellsboro! I have heard nothing but good things about them At Abington.

Have you considered Geisinger? It's a bit closer to home for you there.

Dr B is my man!  I had a VSG in May 2008 and have lost 145 so far.  he is a very caring and attentive surgeon. I wouldn't of had it any other way.

Liz is right- that's quite a hike from Wellsboro.

I just had RNY done on the 5th of Jan.  Dr Bonanni and his team as well as the nurses and support staff at Abington Memorial are all first rate.  I would not trade them for anything.  By the way I live near Wilkes Barre and it is a 2 hour drive for me to get there and 2 hours home. 

Abington is great!!!  Dr B and his staff are really a caring bunch of people.  My experience with them was really wonderful.  Good Luck with your journey.
