Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay OT - Daycare Question

OK so I know I am planning way in advance but I've been told that daycares can book up quickly and now is the time to start researching. Anyone have any good daycares or inhouse child care providers they could recommend in the Doylestown area?

Hubby works at Thompson Toyota (313 and 611) so I would like it convenient for him since he'll be doing drop off on the way to work and I'll pick up on the way home. Of course I want someone who will give my infant the best care possible at a reasonable price - it will be on a part time basis - 2-3 days a week from about 11-5.

ANd of course - who do I trust more then my OH PA family to give me this kind of advice.

Thanks all!!

Liz,
I wish I can help you. I was very fortunate I never had to put my little ones in day care BUT dang woman you are so well prepared for your little one to come into this world. I just wanted to first give birth without people scaring me to death about how much child birth hurts. I totally respect your decision to look for a good daycare from now especially if you are going to go back to work within 6-8 weeks. AND a good day care is worth in gold!! I will ask around at work I am sure out of 500 people somebody uses daycare in doylestown area. lol

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Thanks Shilpa!!

I work on these things so I can avoid the topic of the pain of the actual delivery!!! lol

ACtually when I was at my last OB appt the Dr told me to start looking into pediatricians and daycares because daycares for infants fill up super quickly.

Now if I could just get my boss to confirm what my maternity leave is going to be I'd be all set!

Thanks again!

PS - how did you make out finding the cake??

Good. I tracked down the lady in my neighborhood who makes specialty cakes and she is going to make Ria a two tiered cake with princess barbie stuck in the middle she is going to be pinkalicious and purplealicious according to Ria. lol. I wish I was her age. She puts a smile on my face.

Congrats!  I remember being pregnant and lining up daycare, it's really not too early.  It's been a while, but you may want to check out the day care affiliated with Doylestown Hospital.  Not sure about price, but I know people loved it, and you didn't have to work there to use it.

 Hi!!
I don't often post here but thought I'd give it a go.
I don't know if they accept children of people who are not employees, but if they do I would check out Children's VIllage. Its located on the doylestown hospital campus.
I would call and see if they accept children whos' parents do not work at the hospital.

Hospitals generally run pretty good day care centers. The center operates 6:15am-6:30pm.

Its worth a call!
If they don't, where do you live or what otehr areas would you be interested in finding daycare. I know there is a pretty good daycare on 202 in New Britain...near Pine Run Elem.

I was born and raised in chalfont, and went to school in doylestown so I know there are alot of wonderful daycares out there!!

Thanks ladies! I'll try the center at the hospital first.

We live in Easton and I commute to Horsham. So really Reigelsville, Pipersville, Plumsteadville, Ottsville, Danboro, Doylestown would all be fine. Trying to keep it to something convenient for hubby.

It has been a few years since I used day care (my 2 boys are 16 and 18).  I used LaPetite in New Britain (Route 202 and County Line Road) were very good.  Childrens Village on Doylestown Hospital Campus is also good (have 2 cousins that work there.  Don't know the pricing but 2 good days in my humble opion.
