***Almost Friday Roll Call***
Pam - hope that you had a productive night and hubby did eventually go to bed!
I am at work today until 4 then off to the chiropractor and home to do some cooking and gathering of stuff to take to my Grandmother's with me this weekend.
HAve a good day all! It was a mighty cold morning out there - I hope that it warms up some when the sunc omes out,.
Back spasms have me home today. I get my second shot on Monday. When I am not resting the back, I will be unpacking boxes and trying to make this place less of a mess.
Nothing really exciting.

I'm at work but feeling punky today - last night around 8:30 my nose decided to start running like a damn faucet and then the sneezing, itchy eyes, puffy head feeling came on - this morning I woke up with a full blown cold - what is that all about?? I haven't been sick since before my WLS and now this year I'm coming down with everything that comes along.
Not much new in my life right now - mom had her cat scan yesterday and Monday I take her to the oncologist - if it shows improvement she will continue to have treatments - I'm telling you this is a constant roller coaster with her ups and downs...and wears me out sometimes.
Hubby and I are trying to get away for a couple of days this weekend to visit friends - have a call in to my nephew to see if he'll come stay with mom but so far haven't heard back from him. Of course he has a girlfriend now so I'm not sure how cooperative he's going to be. We'll see. But hubby and I really need a couple of days away from the house.
Hope you all have a good day - Kathy
Good morning everyone.
I have my pre-op class today - deja vu all over again, as Yogi Bearra would say.
I still hope to stop at Trader Joe's, but since I'm driving myself this time, and since I don't see all that well at night, I may have to skip it. Don't worry Pennsylvanians, the driving is all in NJ, so you can relax and feel free to roam your own streets, only Jersey pedestrians need worry...

I am sitting hear with Foxy Roxie at my side, enjoying a late morning, as I am scheduled to report to Jury Duty at 11 a.m., which is great since with that start time (weird right?), I was able to get up late, leisurely have breakfast and I won't be going into work today, so it's a bonus day and I don't mind Jury Duty.
Last night I was all excited as I found out the gym I belong to has a Zumba, well it starts at 8 p.m., so I went home, had dinner, fed Roxie, changed into my gym clothes and got there 15 minutes early, stretched and was chatting with a woman who had taken the class one morning, she had moved here from Florida where she regularly attended such classes and she had joined the gym because they offer Zumba, said she was disappointed with the person teaching the class she had attended one morning during the week, but heard this was a different instructor, well as luck would have it, it turned out that the instructor that was supposed to be there wasn't, and we had the one she had the other day, subbing for the regular gal, I stayed trying to do the class, but she did not give any instructions on what we were doing, switching gears quickly, which I guess is fine if you've ever taken the class before, but what about the newcomers? Anyway after trying for 15 minutes to get what was going on, I left (as did about 1/2 5h3 people in there) and did 35 minutes on the treadmill, doing the mixed program, which has you climbing hills, running and giving a good workout. What I want to know though, is where is all the energy we are supposed to get from working out, I was exhausted after the gym, stopped at Wegmans to pick up some yogurt and a few other items and then came home and went to bed around 11.
Well we shall see what I do today, but depending on what happens at Jury Duty, I have a list of things I can do that I would not be doing if I were at work. . .
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Laureen

After working today - which I am struggling with - I really have soooo much that I need to do, I need to go home and get ready for a girl scout cookie meeting. I am the happy cookie mom so I need to give out all of my information to the moms. Again, so far so good with not being tempted!
I hope you all have a nice Thursday.
Hey yal. Well my group starts tonight not sure I have enough people to run it but we will see.
I hope so. But you never know, it could be teh universe telling me to cool my jets and just focus on me a little more. I will take whatever comes.
Today I am a work kind of a light day so that is good. Hope to get some other things done.
The posts last night and today on this board are amazing, you all are doing some great work and as the resident therapist I am so proud of you. You truly get that this was just a medical procedure, a tool, that the real work has to come from within.
I am feeilng much better these antibiotics seem to be kicking the you know what out of whatever this thing is that has been keeping me down for awhile. I am ready to get going again. Love to you all and happy thursday
I'm getting a late start today - had my 9-month post op visit with Dr. P this morning. She's very pleased with my progress. I've lost %73 of my excess weight at this point, and "average" is 75% at 9 mos. But keeping in mind that I ended up without the re-routing of an RNY, that's nothing to sneeze at. My labs all look good, but my D is at the "low end" of normal, so she wants me to keep supplementing with that for now.
We have a Board of Trustees meeting and our group is giving a presentation this afternoon (that's a big deal) so had to dress "extra nice" today. I'll be heading over there shortly.
Tonight I hope to do the second meeting with our kitchen designer to try and finalize plans and get the installer out to do the official measurements (yay!). We're doing a lot of the work ourselves, but have agreed to have the cabinets professionally hung and the countertop professionally installed, as that way they guarantee the measurements and that everything is secure and fits properly. That should save $$ on divorce settlements in the long run - haha.
Woke up with a nasty headache and stiff neck this morning so didn't make it to the gym. I did get to Zumba class last night - I think exercise at night doesn't agree with me as I don't sleep well afterward and always seem to wake up headachy the next morning. I drink a lot of water, so it's not dehydration - no clues.
Pam - you're likely still sleeping, but I hope you have a pleasant and not-too-busy night at work.
Hang in there everyone and enjoy the sun! It actually felt like it had a LITTLE warmth to it today.
