****Wild Wednesday Roll Call***

Good morning everyone -

Trish - I hope you are feeling better soon : )

Today has me at work til 3:30, then I will run to the bank and then home to do a little laundry.

It's funny - since I don't have much in the way of clothes these days, I'm wearing the same things over and over again.  That means keeping up on the laundry.  No more letting it pile up for a week.  My co-workers must be sick of seeing me in the same clothes every week, but I am staying away from buying anything new since I'm still losing.  I am ready for a trip to the thrift store though.  The thrift stores have really saved me from having to go out and purchase clothing for work.

Have a great day all !

Lisa

Good morning Trish, my thoughts are with you, hoping you have a good, productive day and take good care of you.

Today is my pre-op class, I'm so excited I can't stand myself.  Hubby is taking me, this is his first real foray into the WLS world - I've had him read a couple of chapters in WLS for Dummies, but I think this is when the reality of it will hit him.  There's a Trader Joe's in Morristown, which is where my surgeon's office is, so I'm going to talk him into stopping there after, every time I hear y'all talk about something interesting, you bought it there, it seems.

Have a great day, Pennsylvanians...

Elizabeth

I think its wonderful that your hubby is going with you to the class - it will really help him understand what kind of support you will need throughout your journey. I know mine was really scared for me when I first told him I was going to have the surgery, but once he went to the initial meeting with me and listened to the doctor, nutritionist, nurses, etc., his mind was much more at ease and he was 100% behind me. Congrats!!!

Morning everyone!

Trish - sorry you're feeling down.  Remember, brighter and warmer days are ahead!

I was up at 3:45 this morning... hubby was very animated in his sleep and talking up a storm.  Once the dog and I both woke up from that - we just headed out to let him have his moment.  It actually is quite funny... but now a nap will be in order for today.

I'm going to be calling the doctor today about Thrush... thanks for all the feedback on that from everyone.  I'm glad I asked because I had just assumed it was a build up of protein or something.  I'm going to be organizing/putting away a ton of clothes, working from home on work email, walking on the treadmill, and recording all my nutritional values from the last week in an excel spreadsheet for the nutritionist.  I had been using an online program as a pre-op, but this last week has been so strange with focusing on what times I'm consuming fluids and everything else, I need to change it up for a bit until my schedule gets normal again.

The other big thing that I'm going to get done today is check into setting up appointments with a therapist.  This was a promise I made to Ryan when this all started.  I'm feeling really good about everything now, but I also know I didn't get to 341 (or higher) without burying my emotions and feelings at some point.  I'd rather build a relationship with someone now while I'm in a good place rather than wait until a moment of crisis to reach out.  Not sure what I'll find when I start looking/calling around - but I'm optimistic.

Ryan has his first class tonight for the semester - so I'll be home alone until at least 11 tonight.  It could potentially be a lonely day - but I've got the puppy and plenty of busy work and probably some mindless tv that will keep me busy.

Have a great day everyone!
Melissa

Good Morning all!

Trish....lots of hugs and prayers. I battle depression myself and if it weren't for my kiddos, I would only work and sleep. I find it hard to open up to Johnny or family about it so most of the time, I keep things to myself. Good Luck and thinking of you.

Pam....when I worked 3rd and did 6 days per week, I did what you are doing. I found it kind of refreshing to have the house to myself, but I had every freaking light on so I could pretend it was daylight.

Today,
I am off to the gym, hell or high water. I did work out yesterday but at home, I want to get there to do a little more. Then I wor****il 3. This evening we have no wrestling practice so it will make for a nice relaxing evening with maybe Johny making something on the grill for dinner. Yummy!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good morning all,

I am off to the gym this morning for a leisurely stroll on the treadmill, then off to see my Physciatrist. That ought to be fun as he hasn't see me in nearly 6 months so he will be a suprised at the new look thus far.

I am sticking to the basics today and getting all my protein and liquids in . I can move on to pureed foods on Friday although I did have a few mashed potatoes last night which went well. I am not going to pu**** though and will wait for Friday to move into that stage completely.

Have a great day all, and stay warm.

PS. on a side note, please pray for a good friend of mine named Mark who flew to Haiti on Monday night for a missions trip and is now smack dab in the middle of all the chaos down there with the earthquake. We have heard from him and he is safe, but the news coming out of the area doesn't sound good and we want to pray that he will remain safe.

Thanks all.

John

Prayers are with you, your friend Mark and all who are out there - I for one and thriled that there are people like him in this world who are willing to give of themselves in such a way!

Good morning - Trish, many hugs and prayers are coming your way - you are always there for me (and everyone else out there) and I am more than happy to be able to send the prayers your way. I'll also add some prayers in there that your back and sinus problems clear up soon as well.

As for me I'm at work today - meeting my old co-workers for lunch so that'll be a nice break in the day. I finally got the rest of my Christmas stuff put away last night and the house back to normal - tonight I will vacuum the entire house and then its done.

Hubby is off today and taking mom to a doctor's appt and for a ct scan of her lungs - she says she isn't getting any more treatments but wants to see what's going on.

Other than that not much new right now - hope everyone has a great day.

Kathy

Good Morning All

Thoughts and prayers headed out Tri****his time of year is hard

Well I was at Labcorp at 7am to get my labs drawn for my 3 year follow up with Dr Brader later in the  month. WOW that was a BIG draw! So I was told to eat eat eat today. I was running around like a crazy lady in a fog last night and this morning so it was a "grab and go" day and my food planning suffered. I have all my food but it isn't the healthiest. Tomorrow is another day.

After work I'm heading home to make dinner and relax.
