Thursday exercise thread!
I didn't make 26.2 miles on the bike yesterday because my knee started to hurt so I stopped. But I made it to mile 21. I ordered a ITB strap to wear. 5 more weeks until I can start running again. Recovery sucks!
Today I am going to conquer the elliptical machine and do upper body on the machines. Afterwards there will be lots of ice and advil.

been keeping up with the food and exercise since Monday!!
ETA: worked out in some way shape or form every day since Sunday!!! YAY ME!
today, I am going to do one of my recorded workouts.. not sure which one yet, but I bought some hand weights, so I will look for one that uses them.
After work, I will go to the gym. I'm thinking about getting on the recumb with a good book and trying to do the 26.2 miles. I'm sure I can do it since I spin all the time.
One of the instructors said that a class can average between 10 and 18 miles depending on hills vs sprints. She gave me a method to try to figure it out, so I will try to do it next class I take. She told me that I can hit the marathon with no problem..
After work I went to the gym and got on a regular bike, not a recumbant. I didn't have a whole lot of time there. I spent 50 minutes on the bike and traveled 11.34 miles switching between levels 3,4, and 5. I think if I am going to attempt the 26.2, I'm going to need to do it on the recumbant bike. MY ARSE was killing me when I was done. (got through quite a few chapters of Harry Potter Goblet of Fire and some great upbeat workout music, too!)
Hi Norm,
I am going to a body Works plus Abs class after work. Thank goodness my gym is right across the street from my job...it makes it so much easier to go. This is my 3rd day at the gym this week...yeah. I hope to do a water aerobics glass this weekend too since I don't work out on Friday's...lol.
I have done some form of phyiscal activity every day this week and today will get my butt into the gym for a good cardio workout on the treadmill, using the trailblazer which has you going uphill, downhill, faster, slower, it's a good way to go and burns calories pretty good depending on how fast you set it (I do 4 to 4.5, now as I'm just getting back into it) and I do an incline of 12, so generally burning 400 calories in a 45 minute period. . . today will also find me doing some weights in our little office gym. . . That's my story and I'm sticking with it!
Have a good day!
