Hi Folks,
I wanted to touch base with everyone, I've been away from the computer for about a week. I've made it through 2 chemo sessons, the 3rd is delayed because I have come done with shingles in my left hand and arms, which has been extremely painful, the docs originally thought I had a cellulitis, but then alot more blistering showed up and the pain meds weren't working. Another md visit confirmed the shingles, so now I'm on different meds and am doing better. I've been pretty good about getting my fluids and protein in, but I need to start exercising. I bought a yoga tape and I now have the compression sleeves to wear for doing any weight lifting{ to prevent lymphedema} so I can use my total gym, I just need to get started. It's good to read so many are sticking to their programs and staying commited to reaching their goals. I wish everyone the best.

This coming Wed. is the Phoenixville group meeting at & pm, hope to see everyone there.

Ouch..i hear shingles are horrible.  I hope it clears up quickly for you.  I won't be there tonight.  Tucker has a vet appointment for double ear infections and now also an oozing wound on his leg that I have no idea where it came from.  Hopefully I can make it next month!

Heather,
Sorry to hear about Tucker's problems, I hope the sore heals quickly. Yes shingles hurts! It brings new meaning to the word pain. It has been horrible, Percocet barely touch it. The Neurontin is working much better on the nerve pain, although I'm still using the Percocet which is now helping. Sorry to miss you tonight.

Chris,

Sorry to hear about this setback, while I personally have never had shingles, I have several dear friends who have and hope that you get relief quickly.

Glad to hear you are getting in your requirements and are trying work in exercise.  Once we get off routine it can be challenging to rededicate, but many of us are doing so with the help of each other.

Sending you gentle hugs, Laureen

Hi Chris!

Sorry to hear about your shingles.  When it rains, it pours!

I'm planning on being at the meeting tonight, so I'll see you then.

Glad to see your smiling face, Chris!

Shingles - yuck!  I had them at 17 years old, up the entire left side of my trunk/flank/back/neck and holy jimminy did it hurt like a SOB  Glad to hear the neurontin is working for you a bit better.  I honestly don't know what meds I had for it...it was a time when I still let mommy take me to the doctor and just listened to what she said, LOL

To all,
My cousin suggested that perhaps in a former life I wa****ler or some equally dispicable person and am now paying for my sins. I had a good laugh over the suggestion! I told her that I was sorry for my sins and promised never to inflict any suffering on anyone again. So now that the lesson is learned could I please have the punishment be finished?
Anyway I'm finally feeling better and hope everone has a good week.
