One hour of Zumba today, and also some yoga when I get home.  I miss my lunchtime walks, but it is wayyyy too cold for those right now!

Good Morning Norm - I would die for a cup of coffee right now!

I think I need to back off my intesity at the gym.  I did 15 on the bike and 45 on the elliptical yesterday and my leg hurt so bad last night even after the ice, advil and stretches.  I just keep hearing Dr. Brader in my head, "If you aren't dripping with sweat it isn't a workout."  Those words haunt me!

So, today I am going to walk on the treadmill and a comfortable pace for as long as I can.  I HATE this injury.

My goal this year is to exercise 365 times...hiking, treadmill, karate...whatever...as long as I get in 365 sessions.  Last night I jumped on the treadmill around 11:30 and then I couldnt sleep.  I am going to try to get on it again tonight but earlier if possible.  I have  aRelay for Life meeting so hopefully it wont run too late.

I figured sometimes I exercise twice in a day...like go hiking and then go to karate class....so instead of saying i am going to exercise so many days or even every day, I decided to do 365 times.  Telling myself that i am going to exercise every single day is unrealistic, so this gives me a goal and a way to challenge myself and still give myself the flexibility that a busy life needs.

Bike again tonight - been a real slacker thru the holidays so its almost like starting over but not quite. But I am committed to getting myself back up to speed on the damn thing.

Got a hoola hoop as a Christmas gift (at 52 years old I'm still getting toys!) and I suck at it right now but am going to keep practicing til I get it down - then maybe invest in a good weighted one for working out.

10 minutes on the arc trainer (building up each week), an hour on the treadmill at 7 incline and 25 minute weight training after work.  Dripping with sweat and now tired.  Beth-- I also hear Dr. Brader's "If you aren't dripping with sweat it isn't a workout."
