I'm Stalled

Anyone know how to kick start a serious stall?  I've been at this weight for a month, and I am sure the holidays did NOT help.  :-)

I am starting to get frustrated.

4 mos out, right?  Many find their second serious stall somewhere between 12 - 18 weeks so this might be that for you.  I know you recently had a post that you are "following all the rules"....but if you believe the holidays may not have helped this stall - are the rules being followed to a T?

Start logging everything and anything that goes into your mouth.  Preplan your meals if you can and stick to them.

Change it up.  If you normally have chicken, for instance, change it to beef or yogurts or some other protein source.  Double check things like carbs sneaking back in...even in ways you did't expect.

Change your exercise routine.  If you are big on the treadmill, start using the elliptical or something along those lines.

Remember...your body learns how much calories and source of calories you will be getting if you tend to follow the same routine.  Even changing things up such as having a solid protein like meat for breakfast if you normally have a yogurt can help.

Push the fluids, keep moving....and know that sometimes these things last a LONG time and it's frustrating, but eventually your body has to give in as long as you give it 100% to follow the program.

My appologies I got your post confused with a Brader patients post about following the rules!

Anyway - the tips are still the same!

What Pam said. Reword it, look at it as an adjustment period for your body and not a stall. It will move again, and changing routine is a good idea

I highly recommend using an online food log.  I use Fitday and it really helps me with tracking not only protein, but calories, fat, sodium and carbs, etc.

Yesterday I went over my usual in a couple of categories and I was able to see exactly where I went wrong and I'm was able to easily correct today's intake.    My problem area yesterday was eating deli lunchmeat and american cheese for lunch.  I was lazy and paid the price.  Ok in the protein department, but too high in sodium, fat & calories .  My correction was to go home and thaw out some chicken breast.  My lunch today is baked chicken breast.

I also find that if I don't get in all of my water (at least 64 oz. + any add'l that I can get in) , I stall.
