Gift ideas
Hey all!! On January 12th I see my surgeon again. I have not seen him since October and when I see him again I will be a week short of being 8 months out of surgery. If things go like I am planning I will also have hit my 100lbs - which is also my 80% loss- by this appointment (I have 3lbs to go!) I want to take him a gift and a card, but what to get?? Any thoughts?
First of all, congratulations to you! Great job on your weight loss!
As for the gift, I would make 2 suggestions:
1 - a gift for the entire office, such as a deluxe veggie tray that everyone can share, with a card that says "thanks to all of you", or,
2. If you prefer to make it a gift for the doc specifically, you might think of a gift card to a bookstore, amazon, or local movie theater, or a nice pen. (Staples has a good selection of Cross pens.) I'd keep the card very simple - "thank you" says it all.

Awwww...that's awesome.
I like the idea of the veggie/fruit tray for the office....of course being "staff" that's why I like the idea, LOL
Also keep in mind....he gave you the tool - but it's YOUR work that enables that tool to keep working. He may be appreciative of you recognizing that fact as well "Thank you for giving me the tool and guidance to help me down my new path"

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
