Holly's on the bench - update

Holly is on the loser's bench after her RNY with Dr. P yesterday.  I spent a good bit of time with her and her mom today and she's really struggling with pain (primarily gas, but also from her previous back surgery), which is getting her down.  She's been to the pre-op meetings at Barix and has worked for this surgery for several years, so her rough trip is a bit of a let-down to her.  She is planning to be there on the 2nd for the meeting, though!

i told her we'd save her a nice CUSHY seat on the loser's bench and reassured her that today is the worst day and that every day from here on in will only get better.

Thanks for the update on Holly, Karen!!! Sorry to hear she's having a miserable time right now, but you're right that each day will get better.

Dr. P will have her up and bending and moving and she will see that today is the worst day and it gets better from here.  (except for me...day 6 post op was the worst day for me oddly enough....)  Anyway - continue passing on our love and support!

Thanks for the update! I hope that she feels better, which I know she will and quickly as soon as she is moving around more

 

I have left some cushyness on the bench just for her.  :-)

Welcome to the bench, Holly!  Each day will continue to get a little bit better.  It's one heck of a rollercoaster ride, but you'll soon be enjoying the oh so many benefits and the first few days will be nothing more than a distant memory!

I'm SO glad to hear that today was a better day - i hope things are "moving" a lot better!  I was thinking about you a lot today - hope to see you tomorrow at support group!
