****Final Roll Call for 2009****
Well, I must say that 2009 was a real kick in the teeth for me physically. After starting the year with the undiagnosed fibro pain, I went on to break my foot around Easter. After healing that up, I tripped over my pitiful dog and broke a toe. School started a few weeks later, and the fibro pain and herniated discs flared up with a vengeance. Praise God for wonderful doctors and friends.
But, that was the only downside of the year. 2009 brought me the most adorable grandson on the planet. I had the privilege of getting to Michigan the day before he arrived.
I also have been blessed with the opportunity to downsize, and move to a cozy apartment, where I am able to take long walks along the Delaware River, weather permitting.
New Year's Eve will be rather dull compared to others. I am on-call for Code Blue volunteering, should the temps drop. This is where the homeless are rounded up and brought in for the evening. I will also spend the bulk of the day unpacking and organizing.
I pray you have a safe celebration, and a wonderful, blessed New Year.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Good morning Trish and PA,
Trish, your year sounds like it started out rough, but ended on a very happy note. Hope you feel better!
Happy New Year's Eve - woo hoo 2010 will be here before we know it. I'm looking forward to a great year! I'm almost down 60 pounds and feel so much healthier. I'm starting to feel energized and it's a great feeling.
We'll have a quiet New Year's Eve. The last I heard, we're supposed to get freezing rain/snowy mix. We'll probably get some steamed shrimp and I wouldn't mind having a small taste of lobster. YUM!
Have a safe, healthy, happy, prosperous New Year!
Debbie
Good Morning Trish & PA:
Happy new year to my OH family.....
May you all have a Blessed and safe celebration....
This year for me was one of reflection as I prepared for my surgery and has been one of being blessed and thankful for the wonderful gift of WLS that I've been given.
Today I have to be in work for 4 hours seems like a waste to have to drive an hour to get there then an hour to get home....hoping for a quiet 4 hrs but since I do rate negotiations with non-par providers and its the last day of the year who knows what the day will bring....
After work I'll be stopping at Curves, then home to my treadmill...Gene is not seeing clients today so we will have the rest of the day to spend together and catch up with each other's week....
Tonight will be a quiet night spent together....
Hope everyone has a great day...and a safe day for those traveling.....

Good morning, everyone!! Happy New Year, all!!! Wow---I can't believe 2009 is over!!! We're in Statesboro GA visiting Paul's sister and will be ringing in the new year with her. No idea who else will be celebrating with us. I have a lot to be thankful for this year---coming through surgery with flying colors, and ending the year 90 lbs lighter. I'm starting 2010 as a new person!!! Again, Happy New Year from Paul and I!!! Be safe if you'll be on the roads tonight!!!
Julia

Morning Trish and Pa...
Trish (and everyone, really), I hope this year brings you many more joys and fewer physical ailments.
As for me, I am going to start the new year off on the right foot. I am going to recommit to the gym and to my meal plan. I am going to get back on track and stop the madness!! I am also going to reconnect to my daughter.
Last night we went to her psychiatrist to discuss anti-depressants and he agreed after we discussed her anxieties. He put her on Celexa.. anyone have info on it? SO, hopefully, she will start to feel better about herself and we can establish more of a loving relationship than we currently have.
As for today, working til 3:30 or until they tell us we can leave. Siehara had a friend sleep over last night so she will be occupied most of the day. There is a coating of snow outside my window and it looks pretty. The mother of the girl who is here told me that if I wanted to go out tonight, Siehara could sleep at their house. I'm debating. I'm really not sure if I want to go out or not. Part of me says I do and that I need to, but then again, I should ring in the new year with my daughter. She will probably have more fun with them.. LOL! I think I'll wait and see how the weather is later before I make a final decision.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable night tonight whatever you do. May 2010 be a year for changes in all of us for the better!!
Love you all and appreciate all the support you have all given me during my journey!

Good Morning everyone !
2009 is ending and I have had a great year. Having WLS this year was the best decision that I have ever made. I feel great, my medical conditions are gone and I'm looking pretty good (haha...if I do say so myself ! )
Also accomplished this year, was paying off quite a bit of debt, which I can tell you....is VERY satisfying.
Had a great year with the love of my life and looking forward to many more.
Have a happy, happy new year PA friends. I don't know what I would have done without you !

Here's to continuing the trend you have had in the past few weeks, Trish, to carry you to a wonderful healthy happy and fabulous 2010
This year brought about a lot of things for Brian and I. We are very happy in our new place, after now being here for over a year. Financially we have made improvements, and still have work to do. We look forward to buying a house within the next year or maybe two years at the most.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism which will hopefully shed some light onto what may be some infertility problems. We are hopeful to conceive this coming year.
We've been able to do some small travel such as Cape May and other weekend trips which we truly enjoyed and used that time to reconnect to each other.
Anyway - today. We're just staying home all day. Cleaning the place up for our party and organizing some stuff. I have to get the prescriptions filled - I think I will send Hubby out for them, though. I didn't have to take them yesterday because they are all "once a day" and I had taken them at 5am in the ER....so I need them now.
I had wanted to go to a friends house for a NYE party as this is the first time in 3 years I am not working.....but I think it's better for me to stay home and continue resting and feeling better. We'll see what today brings.
Happy 2010!!!!!!
