Buried Sunday Roll Call
Good Morning Liz & PA:
Well it looks like about 20 or so inches out there on the deck. Gene and I will be outside eventually shoveling out...
I went upstairs to get my hiking boots down to use outside today, they have great slip proof soles. I also brought down a huge bag of clothes to try on to see what fits. I tried on a couple blouses and a pair of dress pants that were on the top of the bag and they fit so I'd better find out what fits so I have some more clothes to wear - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After shoveling I'll take a walk on the treadmill, then I'm planning to bake some Christmas cookies. The Christmas turkey is still in my freezer my daughter was supposed to come over yesterday to pick that up, hopefully she'll be able to get over here in a couple days. I still have to get to the store to buy the ham, and the lemons for Lemon Merengue pie, and the apples for the Jewish Apple cake, I making the ham and pies for Christmas day celebrations at my daughters house.
Hope everyone has a nice warm day, be careful to those out shoveling today...

Morning all.. so far this morning, I have dealt with my lovely ADHD child before she took her meds. She pitched a royal fit after I caught her "cleaning her room" by throwing everything into the closet. OYYYY...meds have kicked in and she is calm now. I've been in my room all morning relaxing and watching a Lifetime movie called the Christmas Shoes.. it's the story that the song is about.. young poor boy wants to buy dying mom shoes for Christmas.. touching movie..
I guess I'll get showered and get dressed and see if my complex plowed the lot. Then, clean off the car and maybe head over to the mall. Siehara and I both have JCPenney gift cards that we can use. I think we could both use some retail therapy. I am just not sure if I want to brave the crazy pre-Christmas shoppers. She also wants to get a birthday present for her teacher and I guess I can spare a few bucks for him since she actually WANTS to do something nice for him.
I really don't plan to do anything stressful today.. had enough stress this morning with the child. Maybe she will get a friend whose parent is willing to come get her and take her away for a few hours.. that would be lovely!

Not too exciting here....a "snow quiet" day.
We got close to a foot of snow. I brushed it off the cars (kind of enjoy that actually) and started in on Christmas wrapping and laundry. I would be baking some treats to give as gifts (simple, trust me) but somehow misplaced the foil loaf pans I had bought....have searched high and low but the are nowhere to be found. GRRRR. So rather than get distracted, I decided to focus on what I COULD finish and have been wrapping, straightening the hosue, and doing laundry ever since.
Mike went in to work (he is essential personnel and it's not that far fortunately) - he will snowblow this afternoon.
Steffi, it didn't dawn on me that many schools could be closed tomorrow! That may mean a quieter Monday for me at work. I have some things I really want to accomplish before Christmas break...that would be a blessing, really!

we have about 18 inches of snow, more in some places less in other. We have had to shovel our driveway out three times. because they plow and it all goes in our driveway. Our neighbor is using his snow blower and blowing all his snow into our driveway. Snow really brings out the worst in people.
If we can get out we may try and go out to get those last few gifts we were going to get on Sat.
I have some cooking to do today as well.

Well now! I've had quite a productive day already. Got up at about 4:45 this morning thanks to going to bed so early last night....
Ended up making about 5 1/2 dozen of each of two different cookie recipies this am, finished up some things I started yesterday...emptied the dishwasher and then re filled it, and also did some non dishwasher safe stuff by hand.
Ended up taking a nap on the couch for about 1 1/2 hours late this afternoon.
Getting ready to head out to Bethlehem in a little bit to hang with the birthday girl and her hubby. Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. 
Afternoon all I thought I would come by here before I left for work. WOW that snow was something last night round 8pm told me nursing and partner I want to go move my truck off the hill so that I don't have hard time cleaning it off and moving it. They were fine with that my nurse said she would rather have me do that then fall trying to clean it off after my shift. So I cleaned it off parked it out front of the nursing home went back to work. Did not feel right like night shrugged it off. Well when I got off work @ 10:50 it was still snowing had to turn my truck on cleaned it off really good put him 4x4 took slow drive home becasue penndot did not plow the roads not did Jim Thorpe which is nothing new for here. I had to park across the street @ the mini-mart the guys who own that told my family anytime we don't have parking we are aloud to park there not matter what time it is. Once I was home I was so happy relaxed started crocheting new scarf also started to not feel good as well runny nose sore throug ect.... could not get to sleep till 4am. That was my night last night
Today I ened up sleeping till 12:45 but woke up @ like 8am feeling like I just got hit with the snow plow! then went back to bed after I regot up I still feel like that but have to go into work today! If I call off I will get written up cause it will be one to many call outs, along with I would have to make up one day during next month on weekend that I don't work, so I will just go into work feeling like ****!! had half sandwish few pretxles and iced tea for lunch,I think I will stop at wal*mart and get some of the mucinxssee of that helps but I think I have the cold my dad has guess he gave me the gift that keeps on givng so to speak. I hope that everyone stays safe and careful today while cleaning there cars off and making paths to walk.
