***Thursday Roll Call***
Two days in a row? Hmmm...
Well, without even having to sacrifice a sacrificial nurse to the ER gods they have smiled down on us GREATLY tonight and that's all I'm gonna say. Suffice to say....we looked at all the proofs from one of our nurses wedding...we had a bday party for another nurse....and a bunch of other non work related things going on here :)
On tap for today - stop at a mailbox and finally mail my darn Christmas cards which i have been trying to get done for the past week or so...then ran out of stamps...etc. They are done :) And now need to be mailed.
Home...fold the last load of laundry (I did the last loads yesterday, but left one unfolded/put away) and then chill and go to bed.
Back tonight for my last one of the week :)

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I'm up and working my lovely OT... sometimes I wonder why since they take most of it out in taxes anyway. But it's required and I will get a nice check when I file my taxes, so here I sit.

pick up Siehara and her friend from dance
hopefully bingo.. babysitter said she'd let me know this morning. I hope she can do it because the jackpot is really up there, plus we won't have it for the next 2 weeks due to Christmas and New Year's.

Good Morning Pam & PA:
I have my 3 month visit with my surgeon today. I'll be getting into work late then working till 5. After work I'll be going out to dinner with a former co-worker and my boss. I'm really looking forward to seeing my old co-worker, he pursued his BSN and is now working as a nurse we have not gotten together since the spring. I'm not sure what I'll eat tonight, so will probably order something I know Gene likes then he'll have leftovers for the next few days.
Today is also the last day of work for our CEO, he will be visiting all departments in both buildings so we can all wish him well in his new endevors. He will be missed, he was a great leader and envisionary for our company.
I will not be getting to he gym today because of dinner but will get on the treadmill when I get home tonight.

SO glad that the ER gods were good to you Pam!
I am at work after a very restless night, couldn't get comfy and my back was achy. I'll take some pics over the weekend and post, I've been told that the belly has made it's appearance :)
After work today I have a chiro appt then I need to stop at the bulk foods store for a few things then home to wrap presents and make dinner. I should do some cleaning but I know I won't have that much energy...

I haven't checked in in a few days, but here I am today! I had been in Washington earlier in the week to do a presentation at a conference for work, and I'm happy to say it went very well. Yesterday I was back in the office and had a day from hell, but today should be better, since it's going to be a half day, and in the afternoon we're having our holiday party. There will be a lot of people there from our other offices who haven't seen me since before my surgery so that should be interesting!
After the work party, I'm going to the gym for some Zumba, then home to eat dinner and relax. I have tomorrow off, so I'll be starting the weekend early, yay!

Dragging a little bit this morning. We had a heck of a night at the Dr.'s office last night and got out pretty late. By the time I got home, showered and lunches packed, it was 11:00 before I got to bed. I get up at 5:00, so that wasn't much sleep for me.
Today, I'm at work til 3:30 and then working at the Dr.'s for a short night (hopefully). That's about it for me today.

Pam you are lucky, at the hospital that my daughter works at, they are stacked up in the ER, and the halls till beds become avail.
Today finds me waiting for the "Heater Man", hopefully it will be first thing in am. Wrap some presents while I am waiting. This afternoon one month post-op checkup with surgeon. Then traveling back to eastern shores of MD. to take care of the grands, while my daughter works the mid nite shift at the hospital. Have a Good Day All, Be safe, and Stay Warm.

That's NORMALLY how we are. The night before last we were "20 deep" in the waiting room....no ICU beds available...no trauma ICU beds available, minimal other beds...so movement was a rumor.

Since I have been lurking forever and not very active I decided it's about time to get moving and really start being a part of things. I know I could use the support and well as everyone else.

Today on tap for me is finally decorating my Christmas tree that has been standing in the middle of my family room since the beginning on December. (It just seems there is never enough time to get everything done that I want to.) Then wrapping presents and doing the dreaded Christmas cards Until PT at 4pm.
