Mini-dump

Hi all - yesterday afternoon, I think I had a mini-dump session.  I was off from work and I hadn't had much to eat during the course of the day and when I got home I quickly shoveled in some crackers and deli meat & cheese roll-ups.   Too much food for my pouch.

Immediately, I felt the urge to throw up.  Tried and tried, but could not throw up at all.  In fact, I haven't been able to vomit since surgery (weird) .  I had some papaya enzyme tablets, so I chewed up a couple of them to see if that would help.  The only thing that helped was laying down and closing my eyes.

This was not fun at all.  I really need to work on getting my scheduled food in on days that I am not working.  I'm really good when I'm at work.  My Outlook has reminders set all day for eating and vitamins, but the weekends and days off really throw me for a loop.

Ugghhh.........

sounds like over full pouch and eating too fast to me :( Warm peppermint tea sometimes helps too.

It's a hard lesson to learn!

Yea...I'm with LIz.  To much of a full pouch.  The only thing that helps me is to lay down and just let it work its way through.

It's NOT a fun lesson to learn.

And sadly - probably one you will learn again and again (I know I have....)

Oh - and you are not alone on the not being able to vomit thing.

I'm another one...stomach flu, dumping, eating to much to fast....it doesn't matter - can't bring it up to save my life.  Literally.

I've dry heaved for literally an hour at a time - but nothing comes up.  Not fun.

One hell of an ab workout, though LOL

What specifically is the definition of dumping or does every group and surgeon have a different outtake?
I hear some barf, some get flu like symptoms, some get it from fats, some from sugar. My paperwork doesn`t say you necessarily barf or dry heave. It says you get the feeling of impending doom and flu like symptoms and sometimes barf or heave.
