well the downtown area is nice to see any time of the year.  They just don't have the horse and carriage rides

Lisa H. what do you do for a living. I`ve not found any inexpensive dining in Bethlehem`s restaurant row. Just trendy, pricey but occasionally good food. Haven`t been to the melting pot yet.

I work for Aetna.. certainly do not have money.  I was just thinking the Melting Pot would be a nice place for us to meet.. and share the cost since we can't eat much.

Brew Works is inexpensive and there is a pizza place downstairs in the same building that has good prices.   You have to look off what they are calling restaurant row.  Tortilla Flat is a good Mexican place and there is Johnny's Bagels.  They have other stuff besides bagels that we can eat.  These are all on Main St, not Broad where the trendy places are.   You just have to be willing to look deep and sometimes in stores where you wouldn't expect to find food.  Moravian Book shop has a deli inside it

Melting Pot looks cool and it they would allow a shared entrée it would be even better.

It's nice, but I don't do Kriskindlemart or however you spell it.

Paying $20 to go into a big craft fair and buy expensive stuff = FAIL.

I'll walk the streets and window shop for free, thank you very much.

If you want to go and eat on the cheap, walk back a block and throw down at a local pub. Plenty of tavern fare to be had for much less than the fancy schmancy places.

It is certainly fun to go and expericne it though.

I know my cousin travels there every Christmas from Philadelphia. She has told me how wonderful it is, but I have not made it there yet myself. I do trust her opinion of it and know she loves it.

Since there is a Melting Pot in town I emailed them and asked some questions like ordering off the kids menu. This place seems to be WLS friendly. Here`s the manager`s response:

Hello Roger,
Great question and thank you for reaching out to us.  At the Melting Pot you may order as much or as little as you like.  We do have a childs plate but we also have individual sized entree's as a more a la carte style of ordering.  We are a european style restaurant and as such, sharing off of platters is how we do it.  There would be no extra plate fee.  If you have any other questions feel free to call or email.  484.241.4939.

Sincerely,
