OT was anyone ever to the christmas city in bethlem?
My husbands parents live a couple blocks away from histroic Bethlehem and in my opinion I really like it there. They have neat little shops and a walk by the canal is also peaceful. If you go check out the Maravian Book Store. I would love to go, but that is the day my husband gets back from Jersey.

Over the years it`s become pricey and commercial. Chriskrindlmart is kinda cool but pricey to get in. The horse draw carriage rides are awesome at nite but you need reservations and they to are expensive. IMHO the best thing in downtown is the Boyd Theater. Movies are cheap and it is an old school single screen with an awesome sound system that is immaculately clean.

I lived in Bethlehem for most of my life. I have never been to Christkindlemart, but the downtown area is beautiful. There are tours and lots of quaint little shops. I would say that just going into town would be worth it. I have heard many nice things about Christkindlemart as well.
I say go for it!

This is part of your journey too. If this is something you've wondered about, something you've wanted to try, go do it. And come back and tell us about your WOW, how you walked and walked and didn't get huffy and puffy. Haven't been there in years so I can't attest to its commercialism nowadays but I've seen all of the above and it's all good and a Thursday should certainly be less crazy than the Saturday I went.
