RNY Revisions to DS in Western PA?
Hello,
I had RNY in 2004, and did wonderfully for the first 18 months, then slowly the weight began creeping back. Even while I was excersiing regularly! My exercise routine has dropped greatly due to 2 stress fractures in less than a year. I am beginning a Y membership at the first of the year.
I had lost about 180 lbs at my lowest point. To date, I've gained back about 70 pounds and feel just awful!
I will admit that I wasn't 'perfect' about following the guidelines, but worked very hard to do my best. I haven't seen my surgeon in 2+ years. At my last appointment, she was unable to meet with me, as she had been called out. No one bothered to notify me about it until I was back in the exam room; I was also not asked to re-schedule the appointment. No contact since that time.
I am frustrated beyond belief with my weight gain, and truly feel like a major failure, but am contemplating a revision. Does anyone have any recommendations for surgeons who do revisions in Western PA?
Thanks,
Michelle

Sorry, I replied to your other post before I saw this one. There is no one in Western PA that even does the DS let alone a revision, which is much more complicated and requires an experienced surgeon. Dr. Greenbaum in New Jersey, Dr. Peters in Eastern, PA, and Dr Gagner in NY are all experience revision surgeons. You should come over to the DS board and ask around.
