Ena,

Thanks for your kind words re my daughter, I am extremely proud of all her hard work and I went to a capping and pinning ceremony about 10 years ago for a very dear friend of mine, it was, as you said, quite a moving ceremony. . .  as for you stealing the thread, not at all, you are so right and I never thought of doing anything but a rescue animal, I worked for the NERR a number of years back and would do home checks for dogs that were going to be placed, so now more than ever, as you stated, is the time to adopt a deserving animal, who because, in so many cases today their owners had to turn them in. . .  sadly, by mid-February there will be a bumper crop of puppies that were brought home as gifts, that the realities of what it entails to rear one, becomes something people did not sign on for. . .adopting a rescue is ideal. . .

Hugs to you too. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Congratulations on a new baby girl. She is beautiful. I am glad you found a rescue to take in that is so important. My two labs are both rescues.
