Randomness

Just bored. And some thoughts were running through my head. So you guys have to suffer. Feel free to answer me on one or all............or just shake your head at me.

There is PB fudge in the office and I ate some. It was a TINY piece. But I did. UGH!

School dress code for my son, allows shorts above the knee.  However, his EXPENSIVE Abercrombie jeans have small *worn* holes in the knees so he was forced to put on his gym clothes for the rest of the day. (grey cotton shorts in the cold) The rule is, no holes in pants.

I am feeling stressed and bummed. I won't tell Johnny because with me leaving full time work soon, I know he is taking on a larger burden of financial responsibility and the last thing I want to do is be a "girl" about crap. So I am fake smiling alot these days.

Am I the only person in the world who doesn'****ch Biggest Loser?  I guess I don't get it. Never did. But it's all I keep hearing about today.

Tiger Woods is NOT breaking news. I can't believe it is even on regular news instead of  shows like Access Hollywood and crap like that.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Amen to everything you said. Biggest Loser & Tiger Woods. Good Luck on your financial situation. Been there done that. Still not out of the woods unfortunately. You put a smile on my face though with your post.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

I gotta say - i love your post.  Yes, I'm shaking my head, but not in judgement ;-).

School dress codes have NEVER made much sense to me, especially when applied without context.  Having said that - don't MOST of the guys in his school wear shorts in the snow?  Really?  It's a guy thing I've never understood - what is it about wearing shorts, t-shirt and no coat when it's snowing and -20 degrees?  They wear more clothes in the summer, I swear!

And I do really understand how you feel about no-work guilt.  I was out of work for 2 years after getting laid off - part of that time was voluntary, while I went back to school.  I was hyper-vigilant about not complaining and doing "extra" around the house because I was so conscious of not pulling my weight.  I think being a girl does carry baggage around this stuff, because I don't generally see guys even thinking about it.  But they do know "something" is wrong - so sharing how you feel can be reassuring to them that what you're feeling is not "about them" if you know what I mean.

I also don'****ch Biggest Loser for a wide variety of reasons.  I don't find the show's setups inspiring - i find it rather mean-spirited and disturbing.  But that's just me.  I do like reading the finalists' stories and hearing their insights - it's the "game" and temptations and judgements in the competition that I find disturbing.

AND... ok - so tiger may have slept around.  He's done a very careful job of being QUIET about it for years.  I'd venture to guess that 95% of pro athletes out there have probably done the same thing.  Does it affect his ability as a golfer?  nope.  Does it affect me? nope.  Do I care?  nope.  Get over it, people!  We've got to get past this cult of celebrity where people give up any hope of privacy in any aspect of their lives.  Just TOO much!

PB fudge is made with the devil sugar - glad you didn't dump! I was so tempted by some really good dark chocolate in our office.

That just stinks about the school dress code - whatever happened to a warning!?

Sometimes being the "wife" is hard. We take a lot on ourselves.Just think - this time next week your semester is OVER!!! then no more night school. You can do it - less then a week! You are going to be a TERIFFIC nurse! Heck you already are to 4 great kids and Johnny.

I don'****ch biggest looser, so you think you can dance, american idol, america's got talent , or ANY OTHER reality TV show. I watch the cooking channel and movies, sometimes the home decorating or gardening shows on HGTV or TLC. Boring - I know.

I don't really care why Tiger can't keep it in his pants. If my next door neighbor did it no one would give a crap - why does it have to be front page news because he is a professional athlete? There is SO much more important things going on in the world right now. How about some great inspiring stories about good deeds done for the holidays?

SO there are some random responses and a lot of babbling! lol

do I hear bored?!?!  I feel like the super boredom destroyer........so - first of all.....fortunately, I don't like PB fudge - so it wouldn't affect me....(Yup - all about me!)

I LOVE uniform policies - as a teacher the kids don'thave arguments about what they look like or who has nicer clothes, and as a parent - well, it is just easy...no fights about what to wear each day....Yup - again....all about me!

I am very sad that you are feeling stressed and bummed - while I suck at making myself feel better when I am in those moods - I remind you that you are almost done school and working full time!  You are an amazing mom - I can tell even though we have never actually met, yup - I know things! :)  You are rocking school - even Algebra which you hate - still don't understand that....but, to each their own I guess! :)  Finances suck everywhere - I really have nothing to add to that - unless you want to send my family of five to Disney world next week?!?! :)

I NEVER watch the Biggest Loser because it was always too close to home if you know what I mean.  I never wanted to see others being successful when I was not able to....Again, all about me! :)

And Tiger Woods can take his Wood and put it anywhere he damn well pleases - so long as it is not anywhere near me - AND one of  the main reasons  I do no****ch the news - Facebook gives me all the information that I need in the world, and......I get big laughs too!  And really.....what else really matters?!?!

Hope you are a little less bored now and if not, well, I tried, now back to facebook! :)

HEE HEE! :)

Ugh is right on the PB fudge - and my lovely daughter bought me some expensive sf fudge at the beach this summer and it sucked - sometimes its just better to let things go.

My youngest granddaughter(s) aren't allowed to wear stretch yoga pants to school (6th & 8th grades) because they are enticing to little boys - however, they can wear skin-tight jeans??

You can come here and unload your crap all day - we'll listen, because god knows we all go thru it! Hang in there...it probably won't be as bad as you think and your Johnny sounds like a great guy.

Never watched Biggest Loser - not sure what the fastination is with it. But then again I don'****ch American Idol either.

Tiger Woods needs to be b*tch slapped for what he's putting his wife and kids thru - she always stayed out of the spotlight and kept her kids out of the news, now this idiot thrusts his whole family into the media frenzy, and god knows the media eats this kind of crap up. Yeah, I'm over hearing about his indiscretions too - what he did doesn't affect me or most of the general population - but it did affect Ellin and the children. Jerk.

And yes, I'm already bored this morning - have my Xmas cards here to work on but the boss is in so not sure I'll get to that anytime soon. Bummer...

What was the payoff? Next time skip it, it`s not worth it.

I love school dress codes. They wouldn`t be necessary if parents took responsibility for proper dress. (not referring to you)  Kid`s also seem to behave better when dressed up. I noticed a big difference on away trips with the wrestling team when shirt and ties were required.

I am feeling stressed and bummed. I won't tell Johnny because with me leaving full time work soon, I know he is taking on a larger burden of financial responsibility and the last thing I want to do is be a "girl" about crap. So I am fake smiling alot these days.

Maybe a time of enlightenment about things and money. Cut back and decide what is really a necessity. We did it many many years ago and it was really hard at first but well worth it.

Am I the only person in the world who doesn'****ch Biggest Loser?  I guess I don't get it. Never did. But it's all I keep hearing about today.

I never saw it but I do like the one trainer that I think is on there. Jillian.

Tiger who? Guess he`s human like the rest of us.

jojobear98, you can beat me up now. I make a good punching bag.
