**Terrific Tuesday Roll Call**
morning...
I was up last night until 4:30 AM on the phone...dont know why I even bothered to sleep since I had to be up at 6:00. Miserable, grumpy day ahead ...grrrr....but I, and my coworkers, will survive LOL I am leaving work early to go see my allergist and then it is home to do some cleaning and laundry and then to bed early. I am goign to see if I can stay awake for the Biggest Loser ending. I would say I will go to the gym tonight, but I know that would be a complete and utter lie, so I wont LOL
I need to go refill my coffee cup...have a great day!

Morning, Friends.
I am cold ALL the freakin time, these days! My inner thermostat has definitely not adjusted to the lack of "insulation" and it's nuts! For those of you farther out - do you eventually adjust? Or do I just need to plan on a lifetime of warmer clothes? Haha.
Today is the President's Lunch at school. I'm receiving a special recognition award (yay, me) for service "above and beyond" - a $1000 stipend, which will come in REALLY handy with Eddie still being out of work. The lunch, though, is a really big deal - the Culinary Arts students' final project for the seniors. They plan, source, prep, prepare, and serve a gourmet buffet for all of the college employees (there's usually around 400 - 500 people who come through). Each student has "their" dish they've prepared, ranging from breads, to savories, to meats, and an entire side of the room devoted to desserts (which I will be avoiding, as none are ever sugar-free). Very festive and fun. People start lining up an hour before the doors open, and filter through from 12:30 until about 3 pm.
Tonight, I'm accompanying a work friend to the pre-op meeting at Barix. She's considering surgery and investigating options, wanted support. That will be good after the luncheon - haha!
Otherwise, just buckling in and trying to get my work done. All this socializing really eats in to the productive time, y'know?

Haha - i'm actually going to suggest that to the head chef teacher for next year's feast!
I feel really accomplished - i went to the luncheon, enjoyed the amazingly wonderful food, contemplated and congratulated the students on the incredibly gorgeous display of desserts, and DID NOT go off plan. I enjoyed, didn't stuff, and nibbled a tablespoon of this and a bite of that, journaled everything when I got back to my desk. Was very happy and feel incredibly good about my resilience right about now.
Thanks to all of you for your support and good wishes!
