I had the craziest dream last night.

I was eating Tastycake chocolate cupcakes and licking the wrapper!
That's a definite nightmare for me.  It seemed so real....

The devil was in my dreams last night ........and he was named :

It's bizarre!  Makes you realize exactly how strong this mental addiction can go.

I VIVIDLY remember being on pureed foods and having a dream that I was constantly running "errands" and going out by myself...because I had pizza stashed in my car.  I would pull down the sun visor above the steering wheel, and there would be a slice.  Same thing in the glove compartment...under the seats....dear goodness gracious!  And yes, I was cramming the whole piece into my mouth during those dreams.

Tell the devil to stay the heck away from you!

My favorite dessert of all time is chocolate layer cake with chocolate icing - obviously something I've given up (and don't regret). But one night I started dreaming about it and in the dream I was at work and there was a cake in the kitchen -  I kept walking around the office to avoid it but my sister grabbed me (she used to work with me) and tried shoving chocolate cake into my mouth!! The worst part of the whole dream was that my little dog was sleeping beside me and I had my hand on him and started pushing at him (in my dream it was my sister) but all of a sudden the dog yelped and jumped and woke me up. OMG I felt so horrible!!!

So yeah, they happen - hopefully only once!!

When I woke up after surgery in my room, I was moaning artichokes and asparagus.  Then I got lectured for thinking of food after having surgery, where was my commitment.  I explained dreaming of food or even craving food had nothing to do with commitment.  Well I got told right up front that what ever path I took the first 3-6 months was going to determine my outcome in the end.  Strange thing was that I didn't even like those veggies then, now I love them, and they weren't even a bad thing to think about.  Gheez you'd think I said something like bakery goods.  I got the royal stern lecture for dreaming of veggies.

I have to laugh about this now.  Food is a strange bed fellow.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

I have had so many food dreams since my surgery it is unreal. One in particular was just a couple of weeks ago. It was Easter or Halloween you know times when there is alot of candy around. I kept shoving all this chocolate and candy in my mouth. I was binging in a MAJOR way, but the whole time in my dream I kept thinking I am so going to dump. I am going to get so sick, why can't I stop eating this crap. I don't want this I don't want to be sick. It went so far that when I woke up in the morning my first thought was Oh my God I ate all that sugar and I didn't dump. I was so upset cause a big part of my tool disappeared. Then I realized it was all a dream. Thank God my tool is still intact and I still avoid sugar. Thank God I have SF stuff to satisfy my sweet tooth. Ain't it funny what your brain can do to you.
