***Winter Wednesday Roll call***

Today is definitely one of the days I am glad I work from home and don't have to go outside in the cold.  I caught the blast of cold air when I put some recycling outside.

Up at 5 after a not so restful night.  Siehara gave me a hard time last night about going to bed after I closed my door.  I have been getting in the habit of closing the door so I can have some "me" time at night.  Usually, she doesn't make a big deal about it, but last night for some reason, she was not happy about it.  She likes to be able to hear my tv and see the light from it.  I have suggested that we put a night light in her room and that she turn the radio on, but she is afraid of an electrical fire ever since our next door neighbors had one 4 years ago in the house.   I, and her therapist, have explained to her that the likelihood of that happening from a radio is very slim.  BUT, she does not want to hear it.  Liz suggested on FB that we try her IPOD.  That might work.  I'm going to suggest it tonight. There is plenty of light coming in her room from the night light in the bathroom.   GEEZ, I wish I had started closing her door when she was a baby so she would be used to it.  I'm just trying to close MINE not hers.

ANYWAY, working til 3:30 ish as usual; will try to get my run in at lunch time in the parking lot
gym after work-haven't done strength training in about a week
pick up Siehara from choir
dinner
back to Kids Peace for a med check and refills

Lisa,

If Siehara is afraid of fire from electrical stuff, maybe you could get her a wind-up radio.  They sell them on Amazon, but I'm not sure how much they are.  She could wind it up each night and just let it play till the 'charge' runs out.  I have a wind-up flashlight and love it---no worries about it being left on and the batteries dying.  Maybe that would work as a nightlight for her too?

Just a thought.

Good morning all!

Winter is here!  Well, not technically, but it sure feels like it!  I don't have an automatic starter for my car (I'm jealous, Liz!), but I have heated seats and decided I can never have another vehicle without them.

I'm at work till about 4:00 today.  I have a 'private' office today!  I moved to another desk so I can concentrate while my neighbors are doing quality checks and reading numbers out loud all day.  I may end up closing the door so I can really block off the noise---and get a break.

After work, I have an appointment with my primary doc.  I'm hoping he finally takes me off the blood pressure med that was started at my pre-admission appt.  He's cut the dose in half twice since surgery, so I'm hoping this is the last of it.  It's not a big deal to take it, but I would like to get off all meds except my vitamins.  Wish me luck!

Have a great day, all!

Thanks for the offer!!!  I appreciate it!  But considering that my SUV is almost 6 years old, it's probably best not to do it.  Besides, my job is ending in 2 weeks, so I can hibernate on cold mornings!      For a little while, anyway...

Good Morning Pam & PA;

I'm at work till 4 today. This work stuff is exhausting, I prefer being home

Then stop at the gym on the way home. Tonight have a paper to complete and submit prior to midnight.

It is cold outside. I'm thankful right now that they are working on the heating system here at work. Everyone is complaining it is too hot in the building, I'm just about comfortable in the 80 degree temps that are happening at the moment. I'm going to miss this when they get the heating system "fixed". I do have two blankets, two sweaters, and a sweatshirt, stored in one of my drawers from past winters here, planning for the day the heating sytem is fixed.

Hope everyone has a great day...

Good morning Pam and PA-  I opened the sliding glass door for my 3 dogs to go out and OMG I can say winter is offically here.  I wanna go to florida! I have a few errands to run today and I don't care I am wearing my fur coat its too cold for me.  I am a girl who sleeps in flannel pjs, electric blanket, down comforter, fleece blanket and today is my fur day!  Too cold.  Yesterday was an emotional day for me my Merlin he is 17 1/2 years I consider him my first child when George and I got married he's a himalayan cat absolutely gorgeous inside and out scared the daylights out of me and I rushed him to the vet but my vet said the symptoms were common for a cat his age.  Well here I am hysterical and I told him I am not ready to let go yet and my vet told me nope he still has lots of days left.  I am such a mush when it comes to my furry kids that when something is wrong I am emotionally useless!  Hmmm mattress warmer Pam what is that?  I am open to new things especially when it will make me warm?  Waiting to be scheduled for a cardiac catheder next week and then hopefully cleared for shoulder surgery at Jefferson.  I just want to get on with my life if that makes sense.  I am sure Pam and Brian will have a great weekend down Cape May.Everyone have a great day.

Glad Merlin is just having age related stuff and you were able to bring him home for more loving. . .
