Anyone have RNY at Geisinger, Danville?

I am just wondering what their experiences were, good or bad. I am preop, and am heading in month 4 of the 6 month wait. I want to hear it all.

	preop Before surgery (Pre Operation). The time/events prior to surgery.

I had open RNY one year ago today at Geisinger, Danville with Dr. Strodel! Best decision ever and best surgeon ever! even though he is the only surgeon I have had. I have lost 116 lbs to date but I am  not done.  I will tell you anything you want to know. Hang on for a wild ride!

 I have been through the whole process and has finally got my date scheduled.  I absolutely love the Bariatrics team at Wilkes Barre and the staff at Geisinger in Danville were excellent too.  it was a rough road and a lot of waiting but as long as you follow what they tell you everything will be fine. I never had a bad experience so far and my surgeon is Dr. Petrick and he scheduled my surgery for january 29th. So I hope all turns out well for you! Good luck in your journey!

I had lap RNY with Dr Gabrielson  7 months ago. I have lost 140 lbs so far.   It was the best decison I ever made and he and his staff are  wonderful.  I will answer any questions you have.  Do you go to the support meetings in Danville?( Dec 7 and 21 in the conf room at 4:00)  I will be at the next one and would love to meet you or else PM me if you want to talk.  Dr Still, Dr Lofton, the PA's and all the nuts and nurses have been all been wonderful.  The only problem is that I have ben bounsed to all of the dieticians and seem to get a different message from each one, but maybe that is for the best as I am getting everyones knowledge.  Good luck and hope to talk to you soon!!

yes, I have my medical evaluation on Dec. 7th, and am staying over for the support group meeting.   I  would love to meet ya there.  My fiance is also attending with me for support.
