Please keep these officers' families in your thoughts and prayers.  Officer Mark Renninger graduated the year before I did from the same high school.  His brother was in my class.

This was such a tragedy and so unnecessary.

I have been reading up on the story all day. I am shocked, sad and appalled at the whole thing. that guy shouldn't have be roaming free to begin with. So terrible.

I didn't realize the one officer was from our state. So sad for the families invovled.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I saw that when the news broke.  It seems no one is safe anywhere.  There are just so many crazies out there.  Prayers going up for his family, I think he has a few children.

Yes, I knew of Mark.  He was on the football team.  He is survived by his wife and 3 children.  So so sad.  The brother I graduated with is having a very hard time coming to terms with the whole thing, as to be expected.

The officers were not even out on the streets yet.  They were preparing for duty.
