Debi,

Regarding your post, Dr. P told me at my two year check up in October that we need more protein on a schedule throughout the day to keep our blood sugars level.  She told me to eat a handful of almonds or such a thing when this occurs, but she stressed 6 small meals throughout the day is something we should be doing, our bodies do not work the way they used to.  I keep protein in my purse or car at all times (the bars, 100 calorie pack of almonds are very portable), so if I am on the go I can grab something healthy.  I have found since adhereing to what I was told, I suffer less bouts of what you described.  If I do too much carbs without benefit of protein, that usually sends my sugar downhill, so we live and learn. . .

You look fabulous, good luck in school.

Hugs, Laureen

Yep....definately sounds like reactive hypoglycemia.  Very common 18 mos + out

Protein at every meal and very frequent meals at that!  Remember to eat!!

Feel better!

I keep dried edamame with me all the time.  If I'm on the go and haven't eaten in 3 hours I eat the edamame --- its portable, high protein, high fiber ---- perfect.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!!!
I need to really refocus and chart my food and start testing my blood sugar again.
I was truly thinking I was dumping on sugar from the fruit I had been eating.
But I think it is low blood sugar...

Sandra, I will definitely stop by sometime this week or next week.
