Good Morning.  I have been up and at the cooking since 7:00 a.m.  I am heading to my sis-in-law's for the big meal much later.  I have been AWOL for about a week or so with some personal issues.

So far I have made a low sugar cranberry apple dish, the traditional green bean casserole, made with low fat milk and soup, and I have some cheesecakes in the oven, made with Splenda sugar blend.  I will be making the gravy when I get over there.

I have many things to be grateful for today, and am so glad that I can come here and see that you all are like minded.

Have a blessed holiday.  Enjoy the awesome sunshine.

Trish

Thankful today for...my new size 14 jeans and size M sweater!

And much more of course...but what a year it has been, as I think of wearing size 20 last year (and not even looking at jeans because I would have needed at least a 24).

Hello, my wonderful OH Family...  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I feel very accomplished today!  I got to the gym this morning for a nice workout (40 mins treadmill, another 15 weights and stretching), and did much of my pre-cooking and prep yesterday.  So at this point, I'm able to take a breath.  Turkey's done (and in the warming oven), casseroles are in the oven, gravy's on the stovetop, and everything else is done.

Of course, the family's not here yet - told us they would be here at noon.  It's now 1:52.  Sigh.  We had a Skype session scheduled with the florida family for 2 pm, but that's gotta get delayed now, because they had to put one of the kids down for a nap... so the schedule thing is just not working.  BUT... I'm not stressing.  Deliberately.   OH.  And my mom is upstairs sulking because I had cubed cheese out for hor d'oevres and she didn't know I was doing it and bought cheese to cube.  Hadn't mentioned it until this morning, of course...  I can't make this stuff up, folks.

However, I've made a lovely gourmet dinner, all of which (except for one dish) is WLS-friendly AND tasty.  Tried some awesome new recipes and new takes on old recipes.

All in all, I feel very fortunate.  Annoyed, but fortunate.  LOL.

Bright blessings to you all.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all my OH Pennsylvania friends!  I am spending my day at work.  It wasn't busy this morning, but things are picking up.  I am thankful for so many things, but especially the friends and support I get here.  Working till 5 and then going to my sister-in-law's house for dinner.  Rumor has it that the oven got shut off somehow and no one is quite sure when, but it certainly explains why there wasn't much juice.  Maybe I will stay at work....

Have a great day everyone...
