***Black Friday Roll Call***

Good Morning,
I am up, checking to see if my paycheck registered so I can start shopping.  Since it has not, I am still home trying to figure out my plan of attack.

Thanksgiving went well.  There were plenty of low/no sugar options, so I did not have to indulge and get sick.  I am so grateful for my family's willingness to be sensitive to my dietary needs.

Today is shop and/or clean.  Nothing exciting.

Hugs,
Trish

Ah Trish- you beat me to it!  Happy shopping day all!  I am up at 5 am and ready to go!  My friend is picking me up in 15 minutes and I happily just follow along with her game plan!  I have a fun and busy day ahead of me - After shopping - I have a 1:00 endodontist follow-up appt - then taking the kids - and my two nephews - who are here - to my aunts house for "leftover Thanksgiving"  This is the real un part of the oliday - these people are my mom's best friend and her famiy - we are "real family"  and look forward to this more that the actual holiday.

Well - shopping awaits - will check in later!  Have a great day!

I got a text from my Aunt who just dropped her son off at the mall for work (Lehigh Valley) and said that it was MOBBED at 5am! I am hoping that they are all there and at Walmart. I am headed to K-mart for a cart load but not the "popular" items. I stood in line for that at 6am yesterday... It's a damn good thing I love my hubby!

So today is shopping then home to rest. I only got about 4 hours of interupted sleep so I am sure that a nap will be in there after Chris leaves for work.

Have a good day shopping all and be safe! Watch out for those old ladies with the big handbags! lol

Hi all,

No shopping for me today.  I will be at home nursing my toe.  I think I broke it the other day.  Anyway, got bills to pay.  So, you have fun spending money for me ok?

Good Morning Trish, PA Peeps,

Seems like everyone has a turkey hangover, as not too many postings yet ;)

Yesterday was a wonderful day, I got up baked up a storm, as I was the dessert maker and candied yams bringer, I made alternates for my needs and while I felt as though I ate a lot, in hindsight, I can say I didn't, it was the first Thanksgiving spent with my son since I had my surgery, as he was in Germany the last two Thanksgivings.  We were at his in-laws, who are really wonderful people, there was lots of food, laughter and I so enjoyed my grandchildren, after which I went to my AA homegroup.

Today (this weekend) I intend to get stuff done around my house, so I can decorate for Christmas.  Also have a vet visit for the surgeon to look at and possibly take out Dillinger's stitches.  No shopping for me, I did what I needed online, though I am still waiting on my daughter in Florida for a list of games that my Florida grands want for their new Playstation that they are getting for Xmas. . .  the nephews are at a age where they get cash and then there is my cousins two boys, Aidan and Angelo, who are 3 and 6, easy to buy a little something for.  If you are not under 18, no presents is my policy this year, too many expenses right now for me to add to the mountain of bills I have.

Anyway, that's my plan and I'm sticking to it.  Hope you all had wonderful Thanksgiving day and wishing those of you braving the shopping, to enjoy without getting riled up. . .  oh that's probably why no one is online, probably shopping (lol).. .

Wishing you peace and strength to get through whatever life brings you today!

Hugs, Laureen

Morning all... just dropping in quick. I am NOT out shopping this morning.  Siehara has things on her list, but I don't think any or much of it is in the "must get today" requirement.

I am actually working for a few hours today voluntarily because we get holiday pay.  That means I get paid 8 hrs for the holiday PLUS time and a half for working the holiday.  If you do the math, that is DOUBLE TIME AND A HALF!!!!!!   If I work 4 hours, I will get paid for 14.  Can't beat that with a stick!

I will go out later to Burlington because Siehara needs a coat.  I would have gone whether it was Black Friday or not, but if I can get somewhat of a sale on top of it, that's good too.    We are also going to see if we can get her hair done today because not sure what happened, but she has a big old chunk out of the top and it really needs professional help.  I straightened it yesterday and OMG.  Hopefully, the salon is open today so we can get it done.

That's it for me.  I hope if you did go out this morning, you got what you were after without getting killed.

Good morning, everyone!

We're enjoying a quiet morning at my mom's house.  Later, I'm going thrift shopping with my brother and step-father.  We're avoiding mall and regular retail stores today---too crazy for me.  (We did the Black Friday thing last year and stood outside in the cold for hours.  Never again!)   We're going to Costco at some point too but not sure when.  I'm enjoying a long weekend and don't have anything planned.

Have a good day, all!

Good Morning Trish & PA:

Been up since about 7am laying around relaxing.

Nothing really planned for the day. No shopping, Black Friday used to be the day my mom and I would go into Center City to shop and then go to the Crystal Tea Room in Strawbridges for lunch. Mom has been gone 13 years now. And Strawbridges is also gone. So Black Friday is a day for me to stay home and relax.

I am thinking about getting dressed and heading to Curves.

Hope everyone has a great day....

Ida

Good Morning Pa,
I have been up since 6:00am, and am now enjoying my first protein shake.  A trip to the grocery store sometime to day.  Have to find some embroidery or something to do as I am extremely bored.  Hope all you shoppers get the items you are looking for.  Have a good day all.
Hugs Ena
