I know that we have a lot of folks who are traveling and won't be checking boards tomorrow etc. So I wanted, well We (Chris and I both!) wanted to wish everyone VERY SAFE TRAVELS and a wonderful Thanksgiving! Enjoy the time with family, friends and loved ones - they are the reason for the holiday - not the food.

Years ago we started a tradition of going around the table and sharing something that we are thankful for before we started eating - This year might take a bit longer because as shown on Beth's post - there is a lot to be thankful for!

Remember also that if this is your first or 30th holiday without someone that you love that they are looking down on you and are so proud of where you are!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Much Love!

Ok, Liz you made me cry today sitting at my desk with your last line...

Thanksgiving was always my Mom's holiday she would get all freaked out and yell because she was afraid not everything would go right for dinner. It always would of course. Growing up we would have close to 30 for dinner and as time changed the table got smaller with the passing of relatives and others moving away. My Mom's last Thanksgiving she cooked and everyone of her brothers and sister had made it to dinner along with her nieces and nephews. It was because my Uncle Ray was dying of cancer that we all came together for the holiday never knowing it would be her last as well.

You are right though she is looking down and I know she would be proud.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Chris!

Love you

Also teary..  most years Thanksgiving was spent with my dad.  I didn't realize how much it was going to affect me to not be going there this year.    Maybe it's all the crazy hormone imbalance I have going on..

Much love to everyone here for being here for me and each other throughout the year!!

Happy Thanksgiving Liz, Chris and everyone else out here. Just think Liz, next year there will be a new little person at your holiday table!! I am so happy for you guys.

Holidays are always the most difficult times to get through due to missing loved ones who have come and gone in our lives, but its also a wonderful time to bring up the happy memories you have of those people and share and enjoy them.

Wishing everyone safe travels, moist turkey, lumpy mashed potatoes, sugar free pies and nice long nap afterwards!!!

I'd like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving too!!!!  Safe travels to all!!!  And you're right, Liz---our    are very pleased with the journey all of us have undertaken.   I know my dad is watching over me and is happy that I won't be heading down the same path he was on, one with heart disease and diabetes.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I'm thankful for my family, my friends (both old and new), that I have a good job and roof over my head.  I'm thankful for my surgery and the new things it will bring to my life.  I'm thankful for...

LIFE.

Blessings to you all in this wonderful universe.

Liz and all my WLS Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you.  Your friendship, support, honesty, and understanding have all become cornerstones of what I'm especially thankful for this year.  This is my first Thanksgiving holiday on my new path through life.  I'm feeling comfortable that I've controlled as many variables as I can to help ensure that my day is filled with successing... and if I have challenges or slip up during the day, I plan to be kind and forgiving to myself, and then get right back on the horse the next day.

There are so many things to be thankful for this year.  I pledge to take the time to remember and value them in the hecticness of the day tomorrow!

i wish each of the rest of you all the best - happiness and health, and a day filled with delicious successing!

Karen
