***Thanksgiving EVE rollcall***
Tonight's the night that great pumpking rises out of the pumpkin patch..wait wrong holiday...we did that one already.
Oh well!
Well I am sitting here at work, pretty preturbed at the moment.
Basically because we have rules and regulations and what not in place for a reason. It's one thing for "staff" to disregard them, but a total other story if management themselves disregards those policies and protocols. Come to find out a FEW of them were ignored tonight, to my disadvantage I might add. So I'm sitting here, currently with no patients, getting paid to type on OH. Theoretically I should have been cancelled before I even got here tonight. And generally speaking, I would go to the charge nurse and ask for patients or what not....but why should I be proactive to kill myself on a night when they are obviously only in it for themselves? I would never ever let a patient wait under cir****tances like this - but currently there are none without a nurse so here I choose to sit.
Anyway....waiting to find out when I'm leaving. Somewhere between now and 7am, and with the total disregard for policy I have set myself up to leave at 7am. Anything earlier will be a pleasant surprise as opposed to setting myself up to leave early and be sorely disappointed.
On the way home I'm stopping at a dear friends house who is getting me out of a lurch big time. Love you, Liz! Then home to bake two pumpkin rolls, pack hubby and I for jersey, possibly meet up with Shuana at some point, perhaps take a nap, and then hit the road by about 3 today.
Spending the evening w/ his parents, then probably going to my parents house to spend the night. They have the extra room and we have to come back down on Thursday so as opposed to making the two trips it will probably be easiest to just stay there. They live about 30 mins away from each other.
Hopefully after my nap I wake up in a better mood....cause right now I"m not a happy girl!

I sure hope that you got out of work early. Sitting there makes the night drag on! That just sucks that mgmt did that to you.
Today has me at work with my pissy pants on. I hardly got any sleep. I hate to sound like the whiny pregnant lady because that isn't me but my back hurt so bad last night I could get comfortable. I am so grateful for my baby that I hate even mentioning things - but alas I know you guys will let me whine just a little.
So I digress - at wor****il 4 - boss should be leaving at 12:30! YAY! lol AFter work home to wrap presents, we celebrate Christmas with my Dad's family on friday since everyone goes their own ways for Christmas now that we are spread all out. Then bed early. Tomorrow morning I'll get up and make my pumpkin pie, peanut butter pie and stuffed mushrooms to take to my Mom's. There's another reason I am Miss Pissy Pants - there are only going to be the 4 of us there for dinner tomorrow - seriously bumming because there are usually 25 of us.
Anyway - those traveling have a SAFE trip and a wonderful thanksgiving! Please remember to acknowledge what you are thankful for this year - I know I have a list going!

Today has me at work til.....??? Usually 3:30, but I'm hoping that we get to skip out a bit early. I have a couple of errands to run and that's about it.
I'm not cooking this year, so Thanksgiving dinner is going to be very easy. Just show up !

Pam, hope you got to leave, but I'm thinking you didn't because I didn't see anything on FB.
Today has me working 5:15 until whenever they decide that we have worked hard enough to go home for the day. That usually happens the day before a holiday, so I'm hoping it happens today. Yes, I know I am already at home, but the whole home without working thing is even better. I just hope they don't decide to send us home at 3 because I am done at 3:30 anyway.. LOL! We get paid for the whole day, so since I already worked OT, I will get paid OT.
After work, I want to go over to the gym for a run and the animal's spin class!!
Then, Siehara wants me to straighten her hair. I will do it if we are both in a decent and patient mood. Otherwise, I will be ready to kill her before I get through one section.. LOL!
Tomorrow morning I think I might do some shopping.. after I sleep in, of course!! There are a lot of stores open tomorrow and having sales!! We both need winter coats and Boscov's will be open, as well as Kmart. I still have a gift card for Boscov's from last Hanukkah that I can use for some of the purchase.
Then, home to make green bean casserole and off to Shauna's house!! I originally had no plans for the day and was just going to revel in the day off, but I know I would have ended up bored and sad because I usually spent Thanksgiving with my dad. Thanks Shauna (and Steffi) for inviting me into your homes.

At work till maybe 4 today. Made it all day yesterday but I'm very tired tonight. Usually they leave us out early the day prior to a holiday, but since I get into work early, I'm usually getting out my normal time as opposed to the others in my department who get to leave early....
Have an online class that starts tonight, so will work on some homework for that at lunch.
After work Curves.
No prep work for Thanksgiving for me. We are all going out to dinner this Thanksgiving, with all of us involved with classes, this seemed the best route. One of my daughters and her husband will be joining us, my other daughter has to be in work at midnight so she will not due to the need to go to bed in the early afternoon tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody - since I'll have a houseful of people I don't see me having much time to log on to check in over the next few days.
Today I'm at work - right now all by myself - I think one other person is coming in and a contractor to fix something in the conf room, so I don't see me being here all day. Was going to bring my dog along in with me for company but that would just confuse him and with all the people coming and going over the next few days he'll be confused enough! LOL!!
Little sister is coming in from Ohio tonight - first time I'm seeing her in 3 years, so she hasn't seen the 'new me' - I think she's lost 50 lbs doing Southbeach and I'm really happy for her as she is very short and was extremely obese as well. Tomorrow is the big day with everyone coming, but hopefully it'll be fun.
So Happy Thanksgiving everyone - eat, drink & be merry - then exercise like heck on Friday!!

I'm at work till about 4:00 today. I'm hoping I can stay awake---I was up late last night, baking and trying to get some things packed for the holiday weekend at my mom's house in Lancaster. Didn't get any clothes packed though; just foods, protein powder, things like that.
I'm thinking I may need to invest in a food processor, if anyone has any suggestions. Doesn't have to be fancy and would prefer it to not be expensive.
