Thanks to everyone for your kind words of support. I just wanted to answer a few questions that have been posed.
My mom is coming to stay with me post op as my kids,, who are 19 and 17 have work and school to attend to. My mom helped me when I was recovering from a Pituitary tumor surgery I had back in 2006.
I have been attending support group meetings that meet at Dr. Braders office 1x a month. I find them to be extremely beneficial for learning and support. I do have 1 good friend who has already had surgery and is going through some similar cir****tances as me and understands what I am going through. I am grateful to have him be there in my corner.
My mother asked me last night how my eating has been affected by my wife leaving. I assured her that I am not going to blow this oppurtunity and gorge just because I have a little more stress now that she is gone. I don't really know the exact reason that my wife left other than she has a hard time with my explosive temper, but I do know that an argument we had over the weekend, involved her inablility to follow through on promises that she made to support me through this process pre op. She admitted knowing she wasn't following through and then she was gone.
Life goes on and so is my surgery. I look forward to sitting on the losers bench and being proud of it ;) !
I wish you all the best - please keep us posted on your progress and losing 32 lbs already is awesome!! Congratulations!
Kathy
As you can see I am a NJ resident, whose home state board is not very active, great people, just not a lot of activity, unlike this board, where there are many participants with a wealth of knowledge and willing to take the time to share their experience on how to get through most anything, from the pre-surgery getting to the Losers Bench part, to stalls, recipes, laughter and just general sharing in the ups and downs of living life post surgery.
Sorry you are having some personal issues, but that is life and here we learn how to survive such things without resorting to our old companion "food".
Your surgeon is pretty well known on this board and while I had my own great surgeon, I have met Dr. Brader at a PA Pilgrimage (a function put together by some on this board) and he is a wonderful, caring surgeon, so you are in great hands, as lots of the "Brader Babies" will attest to.
Best wishes, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Best of luck with your upcoming surgery and hang in there do not hesitate to reach out for support during this time.
Sorry to hear about your recent martial problems but don't let that get you off track to a new amazing life.
