***Super Saturday Roll Call***

Trish - feel better.  Working in pain sucks big time.

Geoff - your presence, concern, and love, is probably more appreciated and helpful than you know.  Even if someone can't take away the physical pain, having someone who cares so much and is emotionally there can help take away some of the emotional pain.  Setting the soul at ease helps physical ailments as well.  Prayers to all of you including your mom and family!

Beth - I sooooo admire you!  I tried running once for a few months.  I absolutely hated it.  However...for some unknown reason lately I have been thinking of trying it.  I may end up doing something like the C25K program with things downloaded on my iPod.  We shall see.

Anyway - me....I have a pumpkin roll half made already for Liz's.  I've gotten the baking bug and have been in the kitchen most of the past two days.  Last night after Schnibbs house, for example (got home after midnight), decided to make a pan of brownies.  Recipie later!

So...finish the pumpkin roll, have some breakfast, shower and all that good stuf*****ta call my mom at some point.  Then off to the bank and to Liz's.  I have lots in tow today!

1)  Brownies
2)  Pumpkin Roll
3)  Black Bean soup (not a full batch - gave some to Schnibb last night but there should be enough left for all of us to taste it!)

Enjoy!

Good Morning Trish & PA:

Trish I hope you get the pain relief and we will keep you in our prayers.

This morning has me getting up late, we were out way past my bedtime visiting with some friends. Awesome night.

We have also signed the contract with our General Contractor so Phase I of our renovations on the house is about to begin after all the paper work is submitted to the city for permits and whatever goes with that stuff.

This afternoon we will be hanging out with some other very dear friends for a couple hours so looking forward to that.

Have a great day...

Ida

Happy Saturday!

This is my first roll call. I said I was going to try and post more so here it is. Got up a little while ago with my 3 year old and found out my husband doesn't have to work. Yeah! Wish I was going To Liz's house but my oldest son has a scout fundraiser we have to attend. After that we have my niece's birthday party. Then home to relax and maybe watch the Star Track movie I just bought. I'm also at some point this weekend working on getting a photo in my avatar, (wish me luck)
Hope everyone has a great time at Liz's and I hope to be there in Jan!

Hi, Friends!

Today's a real rollercoaster day emotionally, I can tell already.  Katie got home from college last night (yay!) and is coming to Liz's with me today (double YAY) so many of you will get to meet her.

I made cashew brittle dipped in dark chocolate last night and am bringing it to Liz's today!  All sugar free (made with maltitol and asher's SF dark chocolate) and the little piece I ate last night to test it was YUMMY!

On the down side, I found out about 2 deaths - one was my mom's best friend who died about 3AM today after complications from aneurysm surgery.  She had been in and out of a coma for several days, with no hope of recovery, so it's a blessing. But it's still hard - and it's hard watching my mom lose friends and family on an ongoing basis.

The other one hit me harder, though - a very young (28 year old) woman who was so vibrant and involved in the world - founded an organization called NICA Hope to bring economic hope to the impoverished areas of Nicaragua.  One of the most kind and generous people I know.  She came down with an unknown respiratory illness a couple of weeks ago and was in the hospital in NYC, just kept going downhill.  The scary thing is that they still don't know what it was or what caused her death.  But the world is a bit darker today without her light.  RIP, Jean Smith.

So I'm looking forward to seeing you all at Liz's today - trying to tip the balance of the day in a positive way.

Karen,

I'm sorry to hear about the two losses.  The 28 year old...wow...that's how old I am (just for a few more weeks, LOL)  So scary.

I'll get to give you real hugs for them today!

Pam
