***Super Saturday Roll Call***

Good Morning,
I am having trouble sleeping due to meds for pain.  I am having horrific pain that keeps me immobile lately.  Doc put me on something that keeps me awake.

Saturday has me working at the hospital.  I am dreading this with the body pain I have been having.  I can not find a recorder I have a relaxation exercise on, and I am more upset that ever.

After work, I hope to make an AA meeting.  I need one big time.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish,

I am so sorry to hear that you are in pain, and on top of that have to go to work.  That is horrible.  I know how long the day can be when you don't feel well.  It seems like every second of the work day is an hour.  I sure hope it goes by fast for you and that you feel some relief.

I am happy it is Saturday.  My friend Santa continued her chemo treatment and she is an awful lot of pain.  Her hair is falling out and her head hurts where the hair has fallen out.  I wish there were something I could do for her.  It is so frustrating.  I sure hope that she will go into remission.  She has an 80% chance.

My mom went to the neurologist and she has fluid on the brain and needs to have a shunt put in her brain.  She has an appointment at the beginning of the month with a neurosurgeon.  I am very nervous about all of this.  She was supposed to leave for the winter back to Florida in another 2 weeks and her birthday is in 3 weeks.  I know she is terrified, as we all are.

As for me, I have been very grateful that the scale has been going down some.  It was so frustrating when it was not moving.  Next Wednesday will be 12 weeks and I am down 60 pounds post-op this morning.  I have a ways to go yet, but every time I hit a 10 pound loss mark or the 2nd digit of my total weight goes down, I get very excited.

I found these lite cheese cracker from fibergourmet.com which are wonderful.  They are 50 calorie and have 3 g of protein.  Taste like cheez itz.

I have to get my car inspected this morning and hope it goes smoothly.

Trish, feel better and I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
Geoff

Hi,

One thing you may be able to do is, if you can, massage her hands. If scent doesn't make her ill, try using a mix of pepperment and lavender essential oil in a light oil base (just a drop or two of each).  If you have an herb store near you, they could help.  Lavender is good for relaxing and the peppermint is good for upset tummies, both are good for headaches.  If you can't do this than the massage would help some.

Good morning Trish, PA!

Sorry you are suffering from pain and now lack of sleep to boot!  Hope you feel better sometime soon.

I am up early because I went to bed early, it seems I had a lot less sleep than I normally have, in small part because of sleeping in my living room with Dillinger, as he cannot climb up on my new bed, though a good friend of mine is building us a platform to resolve that problem, so hopefully I will soon be sleeping in my nice new comfy bed.  I took Dillinger for his follow-up appointment last night and they checked his surgical wound and rebandaged it, the biopsy came back and it is a matasis of the cancer that he was diagnosed with in February and while he is doing "great" I was warned that he has already had a great deal more time than most dogs do with that type of cancer, so long as he continues to do well he will be with me.  I am focusing on the time I have, not the future. . .

Anyway, today I have to get my hair cut, nails done and do whatever I can get done around here, because later today I am traveling up to Nutley to meet up with an old co-worker and then head to Bronxville, NY to a friend's 50th birthday party, this friend I've known for close to 20 years, ran into her one day in the lobby of where I worked, she was looking for a job and I submitted her resume (11 years ago), so now we share a lot of common friends, many of which will be there this evening, most of us got laid off in March, so it will be nice to see everyone.

That's my day, hope your's is full of good things and whatever life brings you, may you find the strength to get through it and if it's good stuff, the better for you!

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning PA~

Today has me running in another 5K.  Someone asked me yesterday how long the race was and I found myself saying, "Just 3 miles."  J-U-S-T... lol, but seriously, I now feel like 3 miles is a warm up.  Never, ever, ever in my wildest dream would I ever think that 4 years ago.  It is a cool race in Newark, DE - very hilly but the oldest race in Newark and packed with all kinds of people - not a race for time.  So excited to be at the starting line with about 1, 000 people!

Have a great day!

Good morning PA!

Woke up early this morning, as usual.  Oh well, I enjoy that quiet time.

We have some errands to run this morning---post office, and a carload of stuff to drop off at Goodwill.  Then we're heading to Liz's house for cooking class.  (I promise not to look in your bedroom, Liz!)

Have a great day, everyone!

Sorry you are not feeling well.  I hope your day goes fast.

Today I need to do some things around the house.  I may go to knitting club.

morning all!!

Hope everyone going through things gets better soon

Beth.. I can't wait til I can say, "just" 3 miles! Rock it!! Sorry you can't make it to Liz's today

I am uber busy today!!

Synagogue this morning.. stealing Linda from her husband there and going to Liz's ( I AM GOING IN YOUR BEDROOM!!! LOL! J/K!)

After Liz's I'll take Linda back to the synagogue--or she'll take me.. depending on who drives.. to get the car.

I'll go home for all of about an hour, then take Siehara to the bowling alley for a youth group event.

She will get picked up from there by a friend's mom and will sleep at her house!!

Then, I'm headed to karaoke!! Hopefully, they'll be a bunch of fun people there.  The crowd has been getting kinda slim and old and it hasn't been as fun as it used to be.  BUT, it's a night out with adults so I can't complain!

See a lot of you soon!!!!
