On a completely selfish note, I think you should ditch the girl talk tonight, study, and then come to LIz's tomorrow.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. 
Lol, Pam. Tonight will just be about 2-3 hours. Liz's is definately an all day trip for me. About 2.5 hours there, hanging out, then the drive back. That's the tough part for me. I want to come so badly, but it's definately a day road trip for me, so it kinda counts out me doing anything else that day.

Yup, it's that wonderful day of the week, FRIDAY! at least for those of us who work a 5 day workweek that begins on Monday's (lol). . .
I will be leaving for work shortly, after which I will take Dillinger for a follow-up visit to get his surgical wound checked out and bandage changed, it must be getting better because he has started gnawing it, even when we are in the room, so that means the halo collar must stay on while he is awake, or he will chew the damn thing off and we can't have that, but seriously, he is back to his old bad self and I'm soooo grateful for that, thanks all for your prayers and support.
My weekend is full once again, tomorrow I hope to get some things done around the house, get my hair trimmed, nails done and then off to a friend's 50th birthday party up in New York. One more time I cannot make it to Liz' house, but one of these days I will get there. . .
Anyway, reading this board makes me more grateful than ever for the people who populate it and the level of support we all have from one another.
Wishing you all the very best day and the strength to face life's challenges, some of which are real tough ones, my prayers and positive thoughts include each and everyone of you!

Today is a nice day! During the day I'm gonna be in the kitchen most of the time, what a shame, LOL First I'm making a batch of a black bean soup my mom made last year. I never had black bean soup before and didn't think I would like it - but ended up tasting it - and it is REALLY good. Here's hoping mine turns out the same way!
Then if there is time I will be playing around with some recipies from bariatric eating for Thanksgiving! Can't WAIT to do that. I ordered a different baking sugar substitute from their website. I tasted it yesterday on my finger - and could not detect any after taste - so I can't wait to try it in the recipie it called for. If it works out, I will be ordering more of it and trying it in different recipies as well. Sheesh - I'm so giddy I'm like a school girl!
I also have to make a portable dinner. I'm not sure if I'm gonna go with chicken tacos or chicken pot pie. Hmmmm.
Then I'll pack all that stuff up and Brian and I are headed to Schnibbs house to see her, Russ, and meet their beautiful miracle, Hailey. Sooooo excited!!!
Well, I better quit typing and get to playing in the kitchen if I'm gonna get all this done!

Yes, I am happy it's Friday! Today has me working til 3:30 or so..
during lunch, I am going to do week 3 day 3 of the c25K training run.
After work, I have some shopping to do, I hope. I am waiting on a check to come and if it comes, I can do the shopping I want to do. Otherwise, I will have to wait. Hopefully, it will come. Otherwise, I really don't have any definite plans... maybe spend time with our Friday night friends.
I am boiling eggs right now to save time tomorrow at Liz's. I will make the innards tomorrow.
Other than that, nothing going on.
