Attention Diabeti Sweet HATERS
Sorry Liz :)
Anywho...after browsing bariatriceating.com at the advice of Mary Benford...I decided to order some of the nature sweet crystal thingies that the one recipie called for. I got them in the other day. After the baking flops with splenda I've had, and the after taste of diabetisweet that bothers me,I must say, I was more than skeptical.
Well....I made the pumpkin roll cake on the website today. Holy freaking crap - outta this world unbelievable. I "tasted" the crystals before using them (I can taste the after taste in diabeti sweet just plain on my finger) by wetting my finger and dipping it into the sugar sub....no after taste....
It baked up BEAUTIFULLY and is FABULOUS. The only thing I want to see is to see how it works subbing it in my "regular" recipies. Perhaps my "long lost brownies" stand a chance (a recipie I used to make all the time and have yet to find a sub that works in it). That will be the true test.
They have three varieties...regular, brown, and powdered. Needless to say....I just went back to the website and ordered 3 more regular, 2 brown, and one powdered. Holiday baking here I come!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Uh...well...maybe it was a slight reference to you
Hee hee! I haven't tried the other varities yet, but expect them to be similar :) We shall see. Happy ordering. Glad I could help your bank account out, LOL
