Stock Up on your Canned Pumpkin!

Saw this on the news this morning that from the excess rains that it hurt Pumpkins so there will be a shortage of canned Pumkin from Libby's....Stock up now!

There is also goingto be a shortage of Eggo's not sure why since to my knowledge no pumpkins are used to grow Eggos.

Love your comment about the Eggos, Beth!!

The Eggo shortage is because the plant had to close months ago to clean after listeria was found. After it re-opened, the had water damage and had to close to clean the place again.

It's true! I had no pumpkins in my garden this year!

The good news, I didn't come close to finishing the "great pumpkin" I grew, baked, cut up, and froze in 2008. I think between that and the 6 cans I have (dunno why), I'll have enough to last me until next year.

Now if any of you get desperate, maybe we can make a deal...

Well that is good to know I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow or tonight after work which ever comes first LOL!!! I will be sure to stock up on cans of punkins. As for eggos seems like they can't get break for some reason. It's shame.

See - figures! This is the first year I am making things with pumpkin in them and there will be a shortage. Looks like I'll go buy some tonight or tomorrow

Maybe the lack of pumpkins won't be the reason for the shortage - it'll all come back to the pa forum hording the damn stuff, LOL

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I always keep the pure canned pumpkin on hand. Weis has plenty of the store brand in Brodheadsville.
It`s great for K-9 constipation or diarrhea. It can also be used as a weight loss toll for over weight dogs.
