great big sigh of relief.......
They announced 625 job elimations today and I survived again. According to the announcement, all that were affected have already been told. They are going to do another one in the 1st quarter of next year, so I am not totally out of danger. BUT, I am grateful to have survived yet another layoff in the Aetna world. A team leader *****ports to my "big boss" was let go and a clerk in my sister's department is gone. Very close to home, again. My boss was let go last year.
Thank goodness I still have a job.
ETA: I have been with the company since I was pregnant with Siehara.. that's 11 1/2 years. This is at least the 6th layoff I have made it through.. praying the luck continues!

Lisa,
About 8yrs ago I was working at Sprint, I got laid off and moved to another department, worked there 3 months and got laid off again. I remember the stress. I had a bunch of family like 15-20 people who worked for Sprint all over the US, I know 2 people who still have jobs.
I am glad you slipped under the radar, and will keep my fingers cross for next year. This might be a good time to plan for the what if scenario, assuming you are not already.
(fingers crossed)
