A question for us oldies...
I was having same issue, doctor P said add in more protein, such as a handful of almonds, a piece of string cheese, she said we still need to have protein every so many hours. Sometimes I have a yogurt or piece of cheese around 8:30 or 9 (mind you when I was fluffy, I never ate past 7 pm.), now I don't eat a lot, just a little protein. I can say that since doing what she said, I have not had too many dips in blood sugar.

Well I am stubborn and am NOT *****ing my finger in the middle of the night while I am half tired. So instead, I have been trying to have a snack before bed and it's gotten better. So I definately think that what my issue is.

It seems to be a pretty typical thing after about 18 months. Thats when it started for me...then it stopped for awhile and has started up again after 3 years post op. Mine happens during the day, never in the middle of the night. It's a horrible feeling and I scared the crap out of my mom the other day when it happened. I need to start carrying something in my purse, as it has happened when I am driving and thats not good! I try to get some combination of carbs and protein in my mouth asap.
