Only 9 more days till surgery.  My husband wanted to know if I would be home the same day. (WT)???? he still doesn't get it.  The day of surgery should be interesting.  He is not really supportive, and didn't care to go with me to any of the info sessions, so he does not know what to expect.  I hope I will feel good enough to go to my daughters the second week after surgery.  Then only 55 days till Disney.  I have one more appointment on tuesday, the cardio Dr.  I think everything should be ok, but we'll see.

Hi There!!  Hang in...I went to Lehigh Valley - surgery at 10 on Monday, then Swallow test at 8 am Tuesday, out the door by 10 am.  Amazing!  My husband was the same way, supportive on the outside, but who knows about the inside.  He tell me how he sees me getting smaller and I appreciate the compliment, then he pulls out the bag of oreos and has them for dinner. 
However, I did this for ME!  This about us, not hubby, parents, or kids. 

Had my surgery on Thursday, went home saturday.

My hubby wanted NOTHING to do with the pre-surgery process. So I didn't tell him anything until I had a date. He drove me there, brought my kids to see me friday and then brought me home saturday. His support began and ended there.

Try to talk to him a little more. Let him read some sucess stories and see why you are doing this. Try to get him involved. Not only will you be happier, but he will be too!

YEAH!!!! 9 days and counting!!  Husbands what can you say?  If they were having their "boy" parts cut they would want to stay for two weeks, LOL!!

I have my surg 11/11 and I feel sore, but good.  Everyday is better!  I can't wait to get this drain out.  If you have any questions we are all here for you we are and have been in your shoes.  Keep your attitude positive and you will do great!!
