GAH these last few pounds are like GLUE! They wont budge... Well for one reason or another, after 2 months at 160, I dropped to 158 and today I was 157. My surgeons goal is 149 (or anything under 150). My BMI right now is 25.7 and a normal BMI of 24.9 is SOOO close. I want it so bad! I know it's just a number, and I could honestly stay at 157 for the rest of my life and be happy...But I really want to FINALLY be "Average". Someone told me the last 10lbs are the hardest to lose. I'm pretty sure I have 10lbs of just SKIN hanging around (no cheesy pun intended lol).

For those of you at goal, how long did it take for those last extra pounds to come off?

You CAN do it!!

I am stuck with the last 13 at the moment... maybe once the baby comes I'll loose the rest. I am almost 3 years out.

Not there, don't care if I get there, so long as I can maintain where I'm at I will be living my own personal successing story (my bmi has me as "overweight")!  However, I understand how you feel and your statement about that "10 lbs. of just SKIN hanging around" is probably the number that you would like to see, so revel in what you've accomplished and how your life is changed from where you came from and do what needs doing to live the life of "successing"!

Best wishes, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

My goal was 168 and for my height that was a normal BMI  I got down to 150 and pretty much stay between 150-155. I was lucky that is just came off then stopped. I didn't allow myself to have a lot of sf treats and made sure I hit my protein goal everyday and worked out alot. Now that I am were I want to be I still weigh myself everyday and if I start to go up on the scale I cut back on the sf desserts and carbs. That is just extra calories and low protein. Good luck and make sure you get your protein goals in everyday and the 10 pounds will come off soon.

Good luck. I am getting close to that last little bit too. I am curious to see what my body does and whether or not I am going to go crazy trying to lose it. I am happy where I am but it sure would be nice to get to a "normal" BMI.

I reached my doctor's goal of 160 three weeks ago.  I am now at 153.  I would like to get to 145.  I am on a losing streak so I should be their soon.   I have lost 122 lbs. since surgery.

I don't quite remember how long it took for my last few to come off.  I know I had flirted around with the number for quite some time though.  My surgeons goal was 130 for me.  I had actually gotten down (without trying I might add) to about 123 and looked AWFUL.  I called her all panicked and told her "but what if I don't STOP losing" (what a wierd thing to be worried about)  She assured me that wouldn't happen.  And sure enough, again, without changing a blessed thing, I went back up to between 130-135 and that's where I normally stay.

Hang in there - you already realize it's JUST a number....but it doesn't make it that easy to ignore.  You are looking fab!  Keep following the program and you will get to where your body wants you to be!

PHENOMENAL work!

Pam
