Progress comes in many forms
I've been a little frustrated with slow weight loss for the last few weeks - I HAVE lost, but only about 7 lbs. in the past 3 weeks. I know my clothes are fitting better but still...(whine...)
Today I took measurements and calculated my BMI....now THAT's success!
My BMI is now 33.6 - in the "class 1" obese range. (At my highest, my BMI was 44.1).
Measurements show significant losses everywhere - most notably, my hips, where I am down 9" since my surgery date!
I also did my waist/hip ratio, which is .82. This indicates moderate risk of health problems due to weight....but at .80 I will move to the LOW risk category.

Lynn, I have been struggling a lot with the scale not moving and with grazing. I am not gaining nor losing and it is so frustrating to know that I have slipped back into some old habits.
You are giving me inspiration to know that if I take my measurements this week, I may just see a difference there. Thursday, I'm going to have Rocco do my measurements when I get there. Hopefully, I'll see the change there. I need SOME positive feedback at least for all the exercise I DO still do.

Lisa, your talking about workouts with Rocco motivated me to say "yes" to personal training. I'm just getting started but really look forward to some good changes. And don't forget that your workouts have lasting effects on your metabolism....not that that excuses slipping back, but it may help minimize the effects.
Woo-Hoo! Progress is awesome! I really should be more aware of my measurements ...I tend to still live by the number on the scale
But you keep up all the great work!!!!!!
