Good morning PA and everyone.  Pam I hope you feel better I don't miss mine.  Ugh I can remember those days!  Kathy happy anniversary and many more.  Pam what is bejewled blinz and where do you findit?  Now I am curious.  Today has me braving the elements and going out to pay my truck insurance and horse board and I am not looking forward to going out in this weather but one does what one must do.  Then I have PT and stopping at Walmart for dog and cat food.  I swear Walmart is my tranfer addition.  Heaven help me!  Tonite has me watching the CMA awards I was not really a fan of country (don't tell anyone that I said that) but wow its really gotten some great music and I am paying alot more attention to it.  One another note I thank the military from the bottom of my heart for the freedom and graces we enjoy.  Thank you.  Everybody have a good day.

Morning, Friends!

What icky weather today!  Am taking the time today to send personal notes / emails / wall posts to all my friends and family in the military, just to remind them how thankful I am for their service.

Otherwise, went to the gym this morning and ran for 32 mins on the treadmill and then treated myself to an extra long 15 full minutes of stretching.  There's this new stretch trainer machine at the gym that I am truly loving - http://www.precor.com/comm/en/stt-com  with just variations in your body position, you can get great stretches on virtually every part of your body including some lower back stretches that I can't get any other way.  Feels amazing!

Now I'm at work and will be until 5-ish, then heading home for a quick bite of crock pot cranberry chicken (will post the recipe separately) then off to Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen jury session and meeting tonight.  So yet another busy day in Goellerville.

Stay healthy and keep successing!

Good morning, PA.  It's raining here in Philly.  I'm at work.  My 17 y/o daughter and her friend are spending the day with me here.  Sheila wants to get her eyebrows waxed and we're having lunch together at a place where I can get a turkey burger.  I plan on making good food choices today.  Oh, and I have 28 days sober!  I feel awesome.

Blessings, Jill

Good morning everyone!

I hardly ever sign the roll call, but it's probably a habit I should get back into.  Nothing too exciting with me -- I'm at work and two of my projects are heading into the home stretch so I'm just a wee bit busy with those.  I am loving the fact that they're so closed to being DONE though, and that both are successful.  Makes me feel very good about my job!  It's funny now, when I have work stress, I spend the day thinking "I can't wait to get to the gym!"  In the old days, I used to think things like "I can't wait to get home and veg on the couch all night with a pint of ice cream, etc."  It's a very good change.

After work I'm going to the gym, then home to cook dinner, and watch some things off my DVR. Very exciting!

Have a great day, everyone.

Morning Pam, PA!

Nice that you got just what you needed by being able to get out of work early.  I am totally addicted to Bejeweled Blitz, once I sit down to play, I tell myself ok, just a couple of games and before you know it, sometimes an hour, sometimes more has gone by.  I want to be the number 1 person (lol), good thing I can't access it from work.  For those who want to know, if you haven't already found it, it's a hand/eye coordination game that can be found on Facebook, though I think it's by Popcap games, one minute game is free, you can buy the game, but why buy when you can play for free, warning, highly addictive. . .

Grey and gloomy, but that's not how I'm feeling today!  I got to have dinner with my fellow "eens" last night and that was nice, as I haven't seen them too much lately.   My life is very full these days, so much so that I am now 3 weeks behind on all my DVR'd programs, thankfully, I only DVR 4 of them plus one soap opera, which I usually can watch nightly before I go to bed, my one hour of fluff, destressing television per day. . .  anyway, tonight I am bringing an AA meeting into a detox/rehab so that hopefully, someone will get the message that they can function in this world without the use of alcohol and mind/mood altering drugs. . .

Hope you all have a great day and find the strength to get through whatever life brings to your door today!

Hugs, Laureen

Pam I don't know how you manage the scheudle you have!

Today I was up early working, then took a break to get to they gym. Started the crockpot. More work ahead, then visiting a friend for a few minutes after dinner. She is very obese, but not interested in surgery. Apparently her ability to go up and down stairs in her house has become very limited, so she stays upstairs most of the time...her family takes food up to her. Very sad. She is really not getting out much at all.

Thinking too of my stepson Matt, who is in the Vermont National Guard currently stationed in LA for training prior to deployment to Afghanistan. Matt was in the Marines for 8 years, and was in 2 combat situations there....and now this will be his 2nd deployment with the Guard. We will get to see him at Thanksgiving though. Hopefully this is it - with credit for his combat service, he should be able to get military retirement soon after his return.

But what I'm really worried about is....Matt's wife. She has quit her job (for the zillionth time), and is home with the 3 kids while he is away. They live in a very small New England town - not much to do, but it's where she grew up. Her facebook posts recently are unusually centered on drinking saying things like "it's going to be a long deployment..." etc.  Now, maybe it's that I'm my mother's daughter...but it doesn't sound good to me. We have a big family - 6 grown kids between us, all married, and 12 grandchildren - and I've got to say that this girl is the ONE in the bunch that just rubs me the wrong way at a very gut level.  I'll be quietly watching how this unfolds. The good thing is that she has family there to fall back on and I hope they'll keep her in line.

OK, back to business!
