November Cooking Class / Support Group!!
We will be gathering at my house to give Thanks for all that we have AND have lost!!! What are some of your family favorite Thanksgiving Recipes you would like to see re-made to be WLS friendly??

AVOCADO DEVILED EGGS
6 hard boiled eggs
1 medium avocado, diced small
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
Salt to taste
Cut boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out yolks. Mash yolks with a fork. Stir in diced avocados, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt to taste. Fill egg whites with yolk mixture and place on a serving plate. Sprinkle with cayenne or fresh, chopped parsley. Makes 12 servings.

My mom has a KILLER black bean soup recipie. I don't really like black bean soup. I LOOOOVE this one. It takes quite awhile to make, though, so I will make it ahead of time.
I am going to make it in two half batches. One with chicken stock (the way I prefer it) and one with veggie stock so there is a vegetarian option for those who want too.
