People are noticing!
In the last couple of days, people have noticed my weight loss. Who posted a while back that it takes a while...
I'm 3 1/2 months out, and am creeping up on 60 lbs. lost.
My response is always to thank them and to say, "Well I've been working hard at it!"
Nice to get the positive attention though!
PS. I have a personal training appt. on Thursday. I'll have to check the mirror and make sure it's really ME that did that! What a change from the "me" who spent years dreaming us excuses not to exercise!

Lynn,
Yep, it'll really start to snowball about now, when people figure out that they're "really" seeing a change. I got some really funny reactions right about that time, including people asking if I was "ok" (they hadn't wanted to ask in case I was losing weight because I was sick)... so be prepared.
And my response was "I've literally been working my butt off to make it happen"... gets a laugh, but is very true. This IS hard work, and there's no reason not to acknowledge that.
And good for you with the personal trainer. I was so amazed that I'm no longer going out of my way to avoid exercise - and it's such a healthy thing to do from a stress perspective as well as for weight loss! I haven't worked directly with a trainer yet, but that's a very, very good way to do it, so they can tailor a program to your specific needs and body type.
Good for you!
Karen

Ah yes, an avatar...
I have some pics that show my progression - I lost my actual "before" pics when my iphone failed, and they weren't synched. But I do have a series of head shots - most of which are taken in restaurants, ironically, because that's when my husband is sitting there looking right at me and snaps them.
I have to get the directions and make this very simple. I am still amused that my first efforts failed because the picture was "too large" for the obesity forum....

Hang on for one wild ride of people noticing! It's humbling and sometimes awkward, but try to enjoy the moments, and really appreciate their comments!!!
You ARE working hard at it and DO deserve every single one of those comments!
Have fun with the trainer - and when your muscles are twitching, remember that is a good, no, GREAT thing!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
